New playable characters – Bimmy Lee, Jackson, Jim Mackey, and Armored Okada – are now available as free downloadable content for Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, according to publisher Maximum Entertainment and developer Secret Base.
Here is an overview of each character, via Maximum Entertainment:
Armored Okada
Although Lady Okada leads the Okada Clan, the older members consistently treat her with prejudice. When a dangerous enemy appeared, they offered her the clan’s most important armor – seemingly as help, but really as a test. Succeeding will finally earn their respect, but failing will confirm their existing biases against her.
Jackson
I’ve always been a huge fan of this fighter. He was incredible in the ring – seriously, his jabs were unbelievably quick and his uppercuts packed a punch! But he got frustrated with all the rules and limitations of professional boxing. It sounds crazy, but he wanted something more… something with a little more edge. So he took his skills to the streets, and let me tell you, every gang wanted him on their side. He was a force to be reckoned with.
Jim Mackey
Jim is M.G. Willy’s younger brother, and while he looks up to him, he’s determined to make his own way in the world. He wants to lead his own gang and establish his own identity. Unlike Willy, who favors a machine gun, Jim prefers to use a shotgun to show he’s different.
Bimmy Lee
Stories tell of a hidden technique within the Sosetsuken, one that can only be learned by two people working together. Over time, most have come to think of it as just a legend or a silly story. But perhaps this discovery is real proof that the tale is true…
You can now play Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam.
