As a longtime fan who’s had the pleasure of punching and kicking my way through countless streets and alleys with Billy and Jimmy Lee, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia mixed with excitement at the sight of Double Dragon Revive! It’s been a while since we’ve had a proper beat ’em up adventure, and this new 3D sidescrolling take on the classic franchise is looking absolutely fantastic.
We’re currently experiencing a fantastic resurgence of beat ’em up games, and fittingly, the iconic brawling series Double Dragon is making a return. Earlier this year, Double Dragon Revive was revealed, and as promised by developers Yuke’s and publishers Arc System Works, we were given another glimpse of the game during The Game Awards.
In Double Dragon Revive, the classic series returns with a fresh, 3D sidescrolling beat ’em up gameplay, as hinted in the latest trailer. The dynamic duo of Jimmy and Billy Lee are featured, along with a variety of enemies who seem to underestimate their strength, engaging them directly. Take a look at the trailer below.
The anticipated release of “Double Dragon Revive” has been officially confirmed for October 23, 2025. This action-packed game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, pre-orders are already open!
