Down Cemetery Road star Emma Thompson is this week’s Radio Times cover star

I was delighted when Emma Thompson, Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, agreed to write a special article for us about her new show, “Down Cemetery Road,” which is inspired by the book by Mick Herron.

I quickly became hooked on the drama and immediately wanted to see more. This is unusual for me, considering I have two kids and a never-ending list of things to do – plus, the editor’s final puzzle piece is hidden in this week’s magazine.

Even though Emma is incredibly talented, success on television is never certain. So, when her publicist emailed to say she’d finished her script and called it “absolutely excellent,” I immediately felt worried.

I put off reading the email for a week, feeling increasingly anxious. I had convinced myself it couldn’t possibly be as good as I’d hoped… I won’t say more, you’ll have to read it and decide for yourself.

Enjoy, my work here is done!
