Dragon Ball is Teaching Broly One of Goku’s Trademark Attacks (But Will The Earth Survive It?)

Since his first appearance in *Dragon Ball Super*, Broly has changed dramatically, evolving from a destructive force into a more gentle Saiyan warrior. His backstory was revisited in the movie *Dragon Ball Super: Broly*, and since then, he’s been building a relationship with Goku and the Z Fighters. Even with the anime and manga on hold, Broly is returning in the video game *Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2*. An upcoming downloadable addition to the game shows Goku training Broly in a new technique that could significantly impact the character’s future.

The latest downloadable content for *Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2*, titled “*Future Saga Chapter 3*,” adds Broly and Cheelai to the Time Patrol. It looks like they’ll get into some unexpected battles! Broly will even try to reconcile with Frieza, including a fight against a Saibaman, and the pair will be caught up in time-traveling adventures. One image shows Goku teaching both Broly and Cheelai how to do the Kamehameha, which might surprise fans of the series. While the *Xenoverse* storyline isn’t official canon, this could let players perform unique attacks if they choose Broly as their character.

Broly The Hero

The newest update for *Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2* arrives October 30th, just before Halloween! Bandai Namco says this DLC brings Cheelai and Broly to Conton City, letting you team up with them as a Time Patroller. You can check out the latest trailer to get a preview of what’s coming in Future Saga Chapter 3. The DLC will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Steam.

It’s still unknown when Broly will return to the main *Dragon Ball Super* story. He last appeared in the recent manga chapters by Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro, where he fought against Gohan’s new Beast form. The publisher, Shueisha, has hinted that the *Dragon Ball Super* manga isn’t over, but a new chapter hasn’t been announced yet. With Frieza still posing a threat as one of the universe’s strongest beings, it will be exciting to see how Broly measures up against him in the future.
