Good news! The demo for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined on PS5 is now available for download on the PS Store, as we previously announced. It’s a fairly small download at around 2.3GB.
You can play the entire Ballymolloy story, and if you buy the full game, your progress will carry over.
If you try out the demo, you’ll get a special outfit – the ‘Day Off Dress’ – for Maribel in the full game, and it’s completely free!

Square Enix has released the complete opening cinematic for the updated version of Dragon Quest 7, and it’s truly enchanting.
The film really showcases its beautiful, miniature-world-like visuals, placing its charming characters in incredibly detailed settings as they fight a variety of monsters. It’s a fantastic example of how to capture the spirit and feel of Dragon Quest.
Okay, so the really cool part? The video ends with a message saying we’re getting a playable demo of the Reimagined version this week – January 7th, to be exact! And get this – anything you accomplish in the demo will actually transfer over to the full game when it releases. That’s awesome!
Completing the demo will also net you the ‘Day Off Dress’ — an additional outfit for Maribel.
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined comes out on February 5th for PS5! Are you ready to start playing? Let us know in the comments who you’ll choose to play as and what class you’ll pick!
