The Arcade Crew and Saw Mill Studio are bringing the roguelite strategy game Drop Duchy: Complete Edition to Xbox Series on January 28th. PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions will follow this spring. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and through the Microsoft Store on PC.
Drop Duchy first launched for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 5, 2025.

Drop Duchy reimagines the classic block-clearing puzzle game with a unique twist. Instead of just eliminating lines, you’ll strategically construct a kingdom using different shaped pieces to defeat enemies and progress.
This game blends deckbuilding, puzzles, and rogue-lite elements to create a unique experience for strategy fans. You’ll need to carefully plan and optimize everything – from gathering resources to defending your castle and growing your army – to succeed.

A Chip Off the Old Block
Each time you play Drop Duchy, you’ll get a brand new map to build on. It plays like a classic block-dropping game, but with a key difference: you’ll need to carefully position the pieces to trigger their special abilities and generate the most resources and units.
Choosing the best places to build near forests, rivers, or plains is key to getting the most out of your resources and creating a thriving kingdom.
Creating lines gives you advantages, but your main aim is to steadily collect resources. You’ll need these resources to slowly build up your army and keep your kingdom safe from enemies.
Block and Load
Choose your strategy, build a larger army than your opponents, and take back the lands they’ve occupied. Just remember to protect your castle – too much damage could mean losing the game.
Winning battles lets you guide your troops along different routes, where you’ll make choices that ultimately lead to attacking the enemy’s stronghold.
I love how this game lets you fail and immediately try again! If your attack on the enemy base doesn’t work, you’re not stuck – you can just jump right back in and experiment with a different plan. It’s a really smart design that keeps things moving and makes it fun to figure things out.

Deckbuilding Blocks
Become more powerful through a deep deckbuilding system. Construct and improve buildings using over 110 unique cards, each providing significant upgrades and enhancements. Discover new strategies with building and technology cards, which unlock bonus structures to strengthen your army and offer other advantages. Tailor your deck to fit your playstyle and maximize your realm’s development.
During your adventure, visit markets and guilds to collect useful items. Then, carefully use those items to improve your abilities, plan your moves, and decide where to go next.
Shape Your Destiny
In Drop Duchy, you’ll steadily improve your gameplay through a deep progression system with more than 100 different missions. As you rank up, you’ll earn rewards like extra resources, powerful new cards, and increased health.
The game’s missions are closely connected to the three main groups you can play as – The Duchy, The Republic, and The Order. Each group has its own unique quests that reward you with special items and benefits. Completing these quests changes how you play and makes you more likely to win, so every time you play helps you grow stronger and move closer to victory.
