Duck Dynasty’s Merritt Robertson Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby Girl

Merritt Robertson is growing the family dynasty.

The star of Duck Dynasty announced the arrival of her and husband Tyler Metro’s first child, a baby girl named Nellie Jane Metro.

Merritt announced the arrival of her daughter, Nellie Jane Metro, on Instagram on December 22nd, sharing photos and saying they are completely captivated by her.

The photos show baby Nellie enjoying the holiday season, dressed in a Minnie Mouse outfit and even getting a visit from Santa Claus. Merritt, 21, also shared a touching photo of herself and Nellie in the hospital right after birth, with the newborn resting on her chest.

Merritt’s mom, Jessica Robertson, was just as thrilled about the new baby. Jessica and her husband, Jep Robertson, are also parents to Lily Robertson Stalbaum (23), Priscilla Robertson (19), River Robertson (17), and Gus Robertson (9).

We’re overjoyed to announce the arrival of our new granddaughter, Nellie Jane Metro! We’re so proud of her parents, @itsmerrmetro and @tyler.metro11, and feel incredibly blessed by this new addition to the family, as shared on Instagram December 23rd.

Merritt and Tyler, who got married in June 2024, announced they were expecting a baby in June with a photo of their sonogram. They playfully revealed their little one, nicknamed “Baby Metro,” is due around Christmas!

Merritt isn’t the only one in the Robertson family who’s recently become a mom. Her sister, Priscilla, and her boyfriend, Dillon Nash, welcomed a baby girl named August Mae Nash on October 6th.

Dillon announced on Instagram that he was thrilled and grateful to become a father.

He shared how lucky he feels to care for his daughter, and how grateful he is to do it alongside his wife, Priscilla Robertson.

And of course, Jessica and Jep were overjoyed about becoming grandparents to baby August.

Jessica shared her congratulations to Priscilla and Dillon on their new baby, calling the child ‘one of God’s greatest blessings.’ She added that she and her husband are completely smitten with the little one.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Phil Robertson, the amazing patriarch of the Duck Dynasty family. He and his beloved wife, Miss Kay – Marsha Kay Carroway, as she was born – shared an incredible 59 years together before he passed away in May 2025 at the age of 79. They were truly an inspiration!

Phil Robertson, founder of Duck Commander, and his wife Kay raised four sons: Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jep. Phil also has a daughter, Phyllis, born from a relationship he had in the 1970s.

In December 2024, the family announced that Phil was diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Despite this, he remained a central figure in their lives as they began filming Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which aired in June 2025.

Korie Robertson shared that Phil’s health diagnosis has been difficult for the whole family. She believes Phil wouldn’t openly acknowledge it, but it’s clearly impacted Willie, causing him to seriously consider what he wants to be remembered for.

Jase married Missy Robertson in 1990.

The couple share sons Reed Robertson and Cole Robertson, as well as daughter Mia Robertson.

Although Jase helped create some of the famous duck calls for Duck Commander, he’s not the one the family turns to for predicting the future.

Oh my gosh, I totally remember thinking this show would never take off! I mean, the Robertsons are… well, they’re a unique bunch, that’s for sure. We’re all a little crazy, but I honestly never imagined anyone outside the family would actually want to watch our lives. It’s insane how popular Duck Dynasty became, I was so wrong!

Reed and his wife, Brighton Robertson, have three children together. Meanwhile, Cole announced his engagement to Emily Hamn in March 2025.

I’ve been a huge fan of Willie Robertson and Duck Commander for years, and he’s been leading the company as CEO since 2002. But with the new season of Duck Dynasty: The Revival starting, it sounds like he’s finally thinking about stepping down and enjoying retirement – it’s a little sad, but he’s definitely earned it!

In 1992, he married Korie Howard, and together they have six children. Their family includes Rebecca Robertson, who joined them as a 16-year-old exchange student in 2004 after being born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Taiwan, and was fully embraced as one of their own. They also have John Luke Robertson, Sadie Robertson, Bella Robertson, Will Robertson Jr. (adopted when he was just five weeks old in 2001), and Rowdy Robertson, who was adopted in 2016 at the age of 13.

The couple are now grandparents to nine children. John Luke and his wife, Mary Kate Robertson, have three children: sons John Shepherd and Wells, and daughter Ella. Sadie and her husband, Christian Huff, have three daughters. Rebecca and her husband, John Reed, are parents to sons Zane and Xander, and daughter Holland.

Will tied the knot with Abby Kay Robertson in 2023.

Sadie and Christian got married in 2019 at the Louisiana home of the Robertson family, known for their faith-based values. Christian founded 4:8 Men, a fitness company centered around faith.

The host of the That’s Good podcast shared with People magazine that when someone makes you a better person and is your closest friend, you naturally want to be with them every day. They expressed excitement about finally being able to spend each day together.

The couple has three daughters: Honey James Huff, born in May 2021, Haven Belle Huff, born in May 2023, and Kit Carroway Huff, who arrived in August 2025.

Youngest Robertson brother Jep has been married to Jessica since 2001.

They share three daughters—Lily, Merritt and Priscilla—as well as sons River and Gus.

The family is expanding quickly! Lily and Austin Staulbaum welcomed their son, Winston Ezelle Stalbaum, in February 2025. Merritt and Tyler Metro are expecting a baby in December, and Jessica announced in July that her sister, Priscilla, is pregnant with a daughter due in October.

Silas Robertson, known as Uncle Si to fans of the show Duck Dynasty, has been married to Christine Robertson since 1971. He’s Phil Robertson’s younger brother and often steals the show with his personality.

The Army vet and his bride share daughter Trasa and son Scott.

Trasa and her husband, Kyle Coburn, are parents to four sons. Scott also has four children with his wife, Marsha Robertson, who is a musician and plays in a band with her father-in-law called Uncle Si & the Sicotics.

Phil discovered unexpectedly, later in life, that he had a daughter he didn’t know about, the result of an affair he’d had in the 1970s.

In March 2020, the family’s father announced the news with his sons Al, Jase, Willie, and Jep on their podcast, Unashamed.

Al received a letter from Phyllis Thomas suggesting they might be siblings. After considering it, Al talked to his parents, and Phil agreed to take a DNA test to confirm.

Phyllis was subsequently welcomed into the fold.

Korie told TopMob News in 2023 that Kay immediately embraced Phyllis when she joined the family. “From the very beginning, Kay welcomed her and she quickly became one of us,” Korie said.
