Denis Villeneuve has become known as one of the best science fiction directors working today. He’s done excellent work on films like Arrival and Blade Runner 2049, but he really solidified his reputation with his adaptation of Dune. Both Dune and Dune: Part Two are considered groundbreaking achievements in the sci-fi genre, vividly bringing Frank Herbert’s complex story and the world of Arrakis to life with stunning visuals and strong acting. Because those films were so successful, excitement is building for Dune: Part Three, which is planned to be Villeneuve’s last film in the series.
