Dungeons & Dragons Co-Op RPG Adds Warlock Class & New One-Shot In Major Update

For many Dungeons & Dragons groups, finding a time for everyone to play is the biggest challenge. While playing in person is ideal for enjoying the story and gameplay of D&D, it’s not always possible. That’s where online tools and video games that capture the D&D spirit come in. Last year, Demeo x D&D: Battlemarked offered a fantastic new way to experience D&D virtually. The game combines D&D lore with the gameplay of the Demeo virtual tabletop, creating a fun and immersive experience. And now, it’s gotten even better!

Last year, I got to try out the first version of Battlemarked with my D&D group for a review on ComicBook. Since then, the game has been improved with updates adding helpful features and new things to do. The latest update, released on March 17th and called “Warlock,” is a great reason for D&D fans to jump into a new virtual campaign. It introduces a new Warlock character class, a new short adventure, and other additions.

What’s New in the Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked Warlock Update

The newest update for Battlemarked adds a lot of exciting content! The biggest news is the arrival of Azruss Drevontir, a new hero class called the Warlock. You’ll need to complete a special quest to unlock him, but doing so will bring the total number of playable classes to seven. The Warlock also comes with new cards, spells, and abilities, making it a unique and welcome addition to the game. Interestingly, with a new Dungeons & Dragons video game also named Warlock coming soon, this new class feels particularly well-timed.

Along with our new hero class, the Warlock, we’re adding a new adventure called “Auril’s Cradle.” Players can unlock this challenging, one-time adventure after they unlock Ythryn in the second campaign. We’ve also made One-Shot adventures more challenging by adding Elite enemies to Normal, Hard, and Very Hard difficulty levels.

We’ve made more improvements to heroes based on what players told us, as part of a larger update to hirelings. This patch also adds support for Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Plus, we’ve included a number of quality-of-life improvements and fixed some bugs.

The latest update gives existing players a great reason to invite their friends to try Battlemarked, either for a quick one-off game or a longer campaign. The game is available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Meta Quest for $29.99, and supports cross-platform co-op play. This Warlock patch, like all updates, is free for anyone who already owns the game.
