Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is having a smashing time.
The actor was accompanied by Simone Johnson, the 24-year-old daughter of his ex-partner Dany Garcia, at the London premiere of his MMA biopic, *The Smashing Machine*, on September 24th. Simone Johnson wrestles professionally under the name Ava Raine.
Dwayne looked cheerful as he posed for a photo with the WWE NXT star. He wore a dark blue suit and white shirt, while she wore a black, floral-embroidered gown with a matching choker.
Simone comes from a proud wrestling family, with roots going back to her grandfather, Rocky āSoul Manā Johnson, and great-grandfather, Prince Peter Maivia. However, Dwayne doesnāt believe sheās just continuing the family tradition; sheās forging her own path.
The 53-year-old admitted that telling someone to ‘follow in my footsteps’ feels overused. During a 2020 interview on *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*, they explained that their daughter wants to forge her own unique journey, and thatās really significant.
Still, Dwayne considers it an “honor” to have a daughter who shares the same interest in wrestling.
He was amazed by Simone’s dedication, explaining that she was working incredibly hard in private before joining WWE NXT. He expressed how proud he was of her perseverance.
Dwayne āThe Rockā Johnsonās daughters, 6-year-old Tiana and 9-year-old Jasmine, who he shares with his wife, Lauren Hashian, may also become wrestlers. They were thrilled to see their dad return to WrestleMania last year.
Dwayne explained to TopMob News in February 2024 that his children don’t react with sadness or protest when they see something difficult. Instead, he said, they’re more likely to ask for something extreme, like him performing a wrestling move on their mother.
Dwayne points out that Tiana and Jasmine could also pursue acting. They already have some experience, having voiced fans in the movie *Moana 2*.
He shared with TopMob in November 2024 that the audience really enjoyed it. They were completely engaged, on the edge of their seats, and eagerly anticipating their moment. When their scene finally appeared, they were thrilled to see themselves represented on screen – it was a fantastic experience.
