Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach are quickstepping their way into some well-deserved time off.
Following their fourth-place finish on the season 34 finale of Dancing with the Stars on November 25th, the couple shared their plans to take time to relax and recuperate.
Daniella told Will Marfuggi from TopMob News that her colleague really needs a day off. “We haven’t had a single day off since the show began,” she explained during their interview.
Dylan quipped to TopMob, “We need it so bad.”
He’s looking forward to a relaxing Thanksgiving with his family – his siblings Zac, Olivia, and Henry – after a very busy week.
For Dylan, their family traditions are simple: spending time with loved ones and enjoying good food. They like to relax, watch football, and just unwind both physically and mentally.
Okay, so he needs a little time to recover, which, honestly, is totally understandable after all that dancing! But he keeps saying how amazing Dancing with the Stars was for him, and it wasn’t just about learning the dances, you know? It was about everything else he gained from the whole experience, and I’m just so glad he feels that way! It just makes me love him even more!
Dylan shared that one of his most important takeaways is simply his ability to fully commit to any new challenge he chooses, and it might not even be specific to dance.
In the final round, the couple went head-to-head with Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Robert Irwin and Witney Carson. Ultimately, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson won the Mirrorball Trophy.
Dylan had a heartwarming surprise a week earlier during the semifinals, which celebrated Prince’s music. His brother, Zac, and 5-year-old sister, Olivia, unexpectedly showed up to support him.

It was a dream come true,” the performer, 33, said to TopMob News after the November 18th show. “I used to watch him perform things like this when I was growing up, so it’s incredible to think he’s now watching me.”
Despite finishing with a low score of 55 points, Dylan shared that seeing a former star from High School Musical in the audience was incredibly meaningful to him.
