There’s nothing complicated about Sasha Farber and Emma Slater’s relationship history.
Six months after his ex-wife publicly revealed her relationship with Dancing With the Stars professional Alan Bersten, he stated that it’s “not at all” awkward watching them work together on season 34.
Sasha recently said in a TikTok Live that there’s no awkwardness between them and her former partner. She expressed her happiness for them and wished them all the best in the future.
Despite their divorce being finalized last May, the 41-year-old didn’t seem to harbor any resentment when reflecting on the relationship. He and Emma briefly dated in the early 2010s, then reunited in 2015 before getting married three years later.
He went on to say that life doesn’t always go as planned, and holding onto hate is pointless. It’s better to appreciate the good times you shared with someone—because those moments can be wonderful—and then wish them well as you both move forward.
As he put it, “There’s no point of hate because it’ll only eat you up inside.”
Sasha emphasized the importance of being happy and present, adding, “The rest is history.”
However, Emma—currently partnered with popular star Andy Richter—doesn’t regret her past relationship or current work with Sasha at all.
In a 2023 interview with TopMob News, she explained that she and Sasha have a strong, supportive relationship and she genuinely wants the best for him. She described their support for each other as being very real and heartfelt.
Emma, 36, is currently finding romance on Dancing With the Stars, but Sasha previously partnered with Jenn Tran during season 33. They dated for several months, even living together at Sasha’s home in California, before splitting up in June.

Their relationship ended when Jenn returned to Miami to complete her training to become a physician assistant, but they’ll always share a special connection through dancing together.
Jenn shared with TopMob News last year how much she enjoyed competing on the reality dance show with Sasha. She loved watching his choreography come to life and appreciated his guidance as he taught her new moves. She described the past two months of daily rehearsals and working towards a performance as a truly transformative experience, calling it a beautiful collaboration.

Showmance or Real Deal: Real deal.

As a huge fan, I was absolutely thrilled when those two Dancing with the Stars pros finally kissed! It happened right on stage during the last show of the 2025 tour, after their final dance together. Everyone had been buzzing about a possible romance for months, and it was so sweet to see it confirmed!
Okay, let’s talk about this couple! Everyone’s wondering if it’s just for show, but I’m leaning towards the real deal. Our colleague, Ezra Sosa, saw a video of them kissing and his reaction said it all – he simply wrote ‘FINALLY!’ It seems like they’ve been hinting at this for a while, and Ezra’s confirmation pretty much seals the deal for me. It’s lovely to see genuine connections blossom!

Fans started speculating about a possible romance between the former Bachelorette and the Jersey Shore star when they competed on season 31 of a show together. Their playful interactions on social media and vague answers to questions about their relationship fueled the rumors.
Gabby shared with TopMob News in December 2022 that she quickly became friends with her fellow contestants on Dancing with the Stars. She said they connected because they have similar senses of humor. During the competition, Gabby was very focused on winning and didn’t have much time for anything else. Despite living in different states, they’re enjoying their friendship and are looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Despite initial speculation, this romance fizzled out quickly. Gabby never actually dated this person and instead began a relationship with comedian and TV writer Robby Hoffman in August 2023.

After finishing fifth on season 31 of the dance competition, the pair publicly confirmed they were dating on Valentine’s Day 2023. The actor, known for their role in CODA, shared a selfie with the choreographer and wrote, “My Valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Britt and Daniel then announced their engagement in December 2023.

Emma and Hayes Grier connected during the “Switch Up” week of season 21, and Alek even told her she was attractive. However, after Emma was eliminated from the show, she revealed that she and Alek hadn’t actually gone on a date yet, leaving the possibility open for the future.
Is Alek’s interest in Emma genuine, or just for show? Alek often blushes and avoids talking about his feelings for her, simply telling reporters “no comment,” which suggests he really does have a crush. However, Emma moved on after her relationship with Skarlatos ended in 2015, so whatever feelings Alek had probably weren’t very strong or long-lasting.

The professional dancer and former contestant on The Bachelorette sparked romance while competing on season 33 of Dancing with the Stars in 2024. But their connection faded around June 2025, after Jenn went back to Miami to complete her master’s degree.
Showmance or Real Deal: Unconfirmed.

These two began dating on and off in 2011. They got engaged on the show in October 2016 and married in March 2018. Unfortunately, TopMob News reported in August 2022 that Slater and Farber were divorcing after four years of marriage.
Were they a ‘showmance’ or genuinely in love? Regardless, they remained close friends and continued to work well together even after breaking up.
It’s actually a really positive situation,” Emma shared with TopMob News. “We’re a strong support system for each other, and I genuinely want Sasha to succeed. We truly have each other’s backs.”

Val and Jenna began dating in 2015, before Jenna became a professional dancer. They got engaged in June 2018 and married in April 2019. In July 2022, they shared the exciting news that they were expecting a baby. They welcomed their son, Rome Valentin, in January 2023.
In May 2023, Val told TopMob News that life is great. He shared that becoming a father has “definitely made him appreciate life and his family even more,” and he’s constantly learning new things as a dad.

After Nikki ended her relationship with John Cena in 2018, she and Artem rekindled their connection, and they officially started dating in May 2019. They became engaged later that year and soon after, learned they were expecting a child. In 2020, they welcomed their son, Matteo.

Professional dancers Maks and his partner got engaged on December 5, 2015, after being together since 2012. He proposed while they were onstage at a dance event called SWAY: A Dance Trilogy in Miami. The couple continued to grow their family, welcoming Rio in June 2023 and their third son, Milan, in July 2024.
