DWTS Spinoff Show in the Works With Possible Host Robert Irwin

Robert Irwinmay soon be exploring new territories.

After winning season 34 of Dancing With the Stars last November, the wildlife conservationist is reportedly in discussions with ABC to host a new show called Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, several news sources say.

A new competition series is coming to ABC and Hulu this summer. The show will follow dancers as they audition for a chance to become a professional dancer on the next season—season 35—of Dancing With the Stars.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s happening! Not only is the latest Mirrorball champion going to be on the new show, but I just heard that Mark Ballas – Mark Ballas! – and his mom, Shirley Ballas, the head judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K., are potentially going to be judges too! Can you even imagine?! Apparently, there’s going to be a third judge, but it sounds like it’ll be different guest judges each time, which is actually kind of brilliant. I’m seriously losing it right now!

TopMob News has reached out to ABC and a rep for Robert for comment and has not yet heard back.

Robert is switching things up with a new job, but he’s also been mentioned as a possible candidate for the next season of The Bachelor. What does he think about all the talk?

The 22-year-old told Entertainment Tonight on February 6th that they’re keeping an open mind about the future, saying, “Never say never.”

“Who knows,” he continued. “It’s a strange world. Anything could happen.”

I’ve always admired the Irwin family, and it’s so clear that Robert is just like his parents, Steve and Terri. He truly has a heart for wildlife, and that’s where his passion really lies – with the animals themselves. It’s wonderful to see him carry on their legacy.

He said he’d heard some crazy rumors while on Dancing with the Stars, like people saying he should be the next Bachelor. He found it pretty funny, considering his actual job is working at a zoo.

Robert explained that he works to protect animals. He said that’s his passion, and his life is quite different from how the media often portrays it.
