DWTS: Zac Efron Makes First Appearance to Support Brother Dylan Efron

Zac Efron is getting his head in the game ballroom.

Zac Efron made a surprise appearance on Dancing With the Stars on November 18th to cheer on his brother, Dylan Efron, during the show’s semifinal round.

After Dylan and his dance partner Daniella Karagach performed a tango to Prince’s ā€œI Would Die 4 U,ā€ the camera showed Zac enthusiastically supporting his brother. He was joined by their 5-year-old sister, Olivia, and the rest of their family as the judges gave the performance a score of 27 out of 30. Zac was also seen cheering during their second dance, to ā€œKiss,ā€ which earned them 28 out of 30 points.

Earlier this season, Dylan explained to fans why Zac hadn’t been on the show during season 34.

He told Extra after the October 21st episode that Zac had been privately offering him support every day.

Even though David Chokachi wasn’t physically present in the ballroom, he still stood out on the show. During the October 14th episode, he danced to Zac Efron and Zendaya’s song ā€œRewrite the Starsā€ from The Greatest Showman and shared how much it meant to him to include his family in the competition, becoming visibly emotional.

During the October 14th episode, Dylan explained that his dance to ā€˜Rewrite the Stars’ was a tribute to his brother. He shared that his brother, Zac, has always been incredibly supportive and selfless, and Dylan hopes to be that same kind of positive influence for their sister, Olivia.

Dylan has made it to the final week of Dancing With the Stars thanks to his family’s support, which also helped him win The Traitors last year. His brother, Zac, publicly expressed his support, saying he believes Dylan can succeed if anyone can.

In June 2024, the actor from 17 Again told TopMob News’ The Rundown that he believes Dylan will win. He added that he’s rooting for Dylan because he’s always been incredibly skilled at games, even when they were children, and considers him a true game expert.

He said he doesn’t care what they’re playing. He joked that even in a game of chance like Yahtzee, the other person always rolls a Yahtzee on their first try.

Zac Efron definitely brought the excitement to this week’s Dancing With the Stars, but the 20th anniversary episode also featured a lot of familiar faces from past seasons. Keep reading to see who came to celebrate!
