Techland, the developers behind the Dying Light franchise, have shared their plans ahead of the September 19 release of Dying Light: The Beast. In a recent video, they announced that Dying Light 2 Stay Human is receiving a significant update, and they’re also offering a free weekend for the original Dying Light. This free trial for Dying Light will begin on August 21, lasting until August 25.
As a die-hard fan of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming major update that Techland is calling the Stamina Patch! This game-changer is going to revolutionize how we navigate through the city of Villedor. From now on, the essential parkour moves won’t drain our stamina anymore. That means we can glide, leap, and climb like never before, making our movements around Villedor feel smoother than ever! Bring it on, Stamina Patch – let the parkour reign supreme!
The changes from the update will only affect gameplay before completing the Pilgrim’s Path quest and following the Markers of Plague quest line. These quests include an encounter with a Volatile and culminate in the use of an inhibitor at the end. Post these quests, stamina remains essential for activities such as fighting, swimming underwater, and using the paraglider.
The new update addresses numerous issues, such as ambiguous messages displayed to players in co-op who were booted from a game session by the host, along with technical glitches causing players to drop beneath the map. It also resolves several instances of the game crashing. For more details on all changes, please see the complete list provided below.
Additionally, players of Dying Light 2 Stay Human will also receive the G.R.E Mascot Bundle, enabling them to adopt a costume resembling the former G.R.E mascot Globby the Elephant. This bundle comes equipped with fresh blueprints for weapon accessories, such as a plush grenade, in addition to the outfit.
