As a passionate gamer, I’m sharing some exciting news about Techland’s highly anticipated expansion, Dying Light: The Beast. Instead of the initial release date, it’s been pushed back by four weeks, now slated for September 19th. Following the encouraging previews, the team is working diligently to ensure the game is polished to perfection and lives up to the title of being our best Dying Light game yet.
Alongside some final adjustments, the team is focusing on perfecting the gameplay balance, enhancing the physics, refining cutscenes and player animations, and addressing the clarity of the user interface. Next week will bring news about the game’s graphic violence and a reunion with Bober the Beaver, Castor Woods’ mascot, who appears to have been affected by the zombie outbreak.
Techland will attend Gamescom with a playable demo in Hall 6 from August 20th to 24th. Despite expressing understanding that the delay might be frustrating, they assure us that progress is nearly complete, asking for patience during the last 8 weeks. Unfortunately, details regarding how this delay impacts the PS4 and Xbox One releases, planned post-launch on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, were not disclosed. Keep an eye out for future updates concerning those versions in the meantime.
In a decade’s time after the initial game, we find ourselves back with Kyle Crane as the central character in “Dying Light: The Beast.” This new adventure is said to offer a captivating 20-hour main storyline. For additional information about the side content, click here.
