Dying Light: The Beast Gets New Video Introducing All Of Kyle Crane’s Voice Actors

As we eagerly await the upcoming release of Dying Light: The Beast, developer Techland has dropped a fun new video showcasing the diverse cast of voice actors portraying protagonist Kyle Crane in various languages. You can take a peek at this entertaining clip below where these talented individuals engage in a playful debate over who truly embodies the spirit of Kyle Crane!

In the video, we find Roger Craig Smith (English), Tino Kießling (German), Fábio Azevedo (Brazilian Portuguese), Daichi Endo (Japanese), Anatoliy Nox (Russian), Mario Bastelica (French), David Robles (Spanish), Yuhang Wang (Simplified Chinese), and Szymon Mysłakowski (Polish) each showcasing their talents as voice actors for the main character, Kyle Crane. The video presents them all trying to prove who truly embodies Kyle Crane best by reciting lines from the upcoming title in their respective languages.

Among the voice artists, Smith, Kießling, Azevedo, Endo, and Nox will once again lend their voices to the character Kyle Crane. Meanwhile, Bastelica, Robles, Wang, and Mysłakowski join the team as newcomers, with Techland expanding its localization for a wider release in multiple languages. In a funny turn of events, all voice actors let loose with several swear words while portraying Kyle Crane, with Techland mentioning that this video contains a grand total of 232 F-bombs in different languages.

Discussing further Kyle Crane’s personality, lore, and impact, Techland recently unveiled a behind-the-scenes video focusing on the character. In this video, franchise director Tymon Smektala delves into how Crane’s persona has evolved since the events of the initial Dying Light game and its subsequent expansion, The Following, where he was captured by The Baron.

In “Dying Light: The Beast,” Crane will encounter the forces of The Baron once again, this time aiding and rescuing individuals who have been subjected to oppression by the antagonist. To achieve this, the character will channel an immense fury, along with his newly acquired abilities, to wreak havoc on anyone who poses a threat to him.

The studio provided some background on Kyle Crane’s design for the upcoming game, Dying Light: The Beast, in a blog post from last month. According to them, the artists put considerable effort into finalizing the design we’ll see in the game, and every detail of Crane’s new look, including his clothing and equipment, was carefully considered and purposefully chosen, rather than haphazardly assembled.

The updated character design subtly showcases his recent dual nature, with one half symbolizing his human aspect and the other his Beast persona. To achieve this, the studio developed fresh animations for Kyle Crane, which, while not directly copied from the original Dying Light, were significantly influenced by them.

The thrilling expansion titled “Dying Light: The Beast” will make its debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S starting September 19. A launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is expected at a later time. For information regarding the PC release’s system requirements, be sure to take a look.
