The community has collectively overcome incredible challenges, defeating numerous enemies and traversing the expansive world of Castor Woods, leaving a lasting impact on the game’s environment.
Players have eliminated nearly 2.3 billion zombies in Dying Light: The Beast, with over 763 million kills coming from the US and over 412 million from China. They’ve also collectively survived for over 189 hours at night. Techland notes that this equals 21,574 years spent battling zombies in the dark!
Players have covered a huge distance in Dying Light: The Beast – over 152 million kilometers running and another 19.6 million by vehicle. When fighting zombies, they’ve used a lot of firepower, throwing 23.6 million Molotov cocktails and landing 59.5 million headshots. Close combat is also popular, with players performing 176.7 million dropkicks and 112.8 million finishing moves.
The new game *Dying Light: The Beast* has quickly become a hit. According to data from Alinea Analytics, it sold over a million copies on Steam in its first few days. Across all platforms, total sales exceeded 1.5 million in the first week, with approximately 500,000 copies sold on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The data firm highlighted that most players of *Dying Light: The Beast* on PC were already familiar with the series. Specifically, 82% had played the original *Dying Light*, and 77% had played *Dying Light 2 Stay Human*. The game also quickly gained popularity, reaching a peak of 121,222 players on Steam on September 21st.
