With Dancing With The Stars still going strong in 2025, a contestant from Season 34 recently gave fans a glimpse of the intense training involved. Dylan Efron shared a video showing a typical first week of rehearsals, and it’s clear he and his partner, Daniella Karagach, put in an incredible amount of effort!
The team is putting the final touches on their dance for “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night,” in which they’ll be performing a jive to Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing.” He’s going to have to put on a show to outshine Robert Irwin’s jive in the DWTS Season 34 premiere, but based on this Instagram Reel from the beginning of training to the end, I think he’s going to crush it:

I adore Andy Richter’s hilarious rehearsal clips, seriously, but this video of Dylan Efron really shows how demanding Dancing With The Stars actually is. It’s incredible – learning a whole dance in just a week is tough, and he’s not just surviving, he might actually get a perfect score this week! It’s exciting to watch.

I was genuinely surprised to learn that the professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars don’t just disappear after their celebrity partners are eliminated! I recently read an explanation from a pro’s wife, and it totally changed my perspective. She explained that they often actually get busier with things like choreography for other couples, mentoring, and appearances. It’s fascinating to see how much goes on behind the scenes that we don’t see as viewers!
It will be interesting to see if Dylan Efron can improve his performance on Dancing With The Stars, as that will be a good sign of whether he has a real chance at winning Season 34. Daniella Karagach previously helped Iman Shumpert achieve a surprising win, even though other contestants were leading for most of the season.
He faces tough competition in the voting, but I believe Efron could still win. Perhaps a surprise appearance by his brother, Zac, on Dancing With The Stars would give him the extra boost he needs to secure enough votes.
This season of Dancing With The Stars has an exceptionally talented cast. I predict Alix Earle, Jordan Chiles, Robert Irwin, Dylan Efron, and Whitney Leavitt are strong contenders to reach the finale. If they continue performing well, the competition will be incredibly close, and anyone could win the Mirrorball trophy. The stakes are high, and every dance counts, which explains why Dylan Efron shared a video showing his dedication to improving his performance.
You can still catch new episodes of Dancing With The Stars on ABC and Disney+ every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern. As we get closer to the finale—with just a few weeks of competition left—each dance is crucial, and I’m excited to see who makes it to the end!
