Dylan Efron Reacts to Brother Zac Efron’s DWTS Appearance

Zac Efron watched his little brother soaring and flying in the ballroom.

Dylan Efron enjoyed dancing with professional dancer Daniella Karagach on the November 18th semifinals of Dancing With the Stars, and he was especially happy to have his High School Musical costar in the audience cheering him on.

It was a dream come true,” the former Traitors contestant told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News, speaking with Daniella after their performance. “I watched him perform things like this when I was growing up, so it’s unbelievable to me that he’s now watching me.”

He’s so grateful to see how proud Zac, 38, is of him, adding, “It means the world to me.”

During the Prince-themed episode, while Dylan and Daniella danced, Zac happily watched with their 5-year-old sister Olivia on his lap. He clapped enthusiastically when the judges gave them a score of 27 out of 30, showing his support for their performance.

Despite finishing with a low score of 55, Dylan and Daniella managed to avoid elimination and will continue on the dance competition. They were relieved to see Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, who received 58 points, leave the competition instead.

Dylan, 33, shared with TopMob that he and his team were incredibly surprised and grateful. He said they hadn’t anticipated this recognition and appreciated the opportunity to be noticed.

The reality star hinted that the next episode will show her working very hard, saying, “Working my butt off.”

Daniella, whose husband Pasha Pashkov was eliminated from the competition with his partner Danielle Fishel on November 4th, recently discussed her strategy for the game.

She shared that she’s working on a new freestyle routine, something she hasn’t tried before. She’s collaborating with a friend on it and is really looking forward to performing it.

Even though Zac is new to the season, Dylan has been showing his family a lot of love through his performances. He recently performed “Rewrite the Stars” – a song from The Greatest Showman that Zac and Zendaya sing together – in October, and dedicated it to his sister.

During the show, Dylan explained that his dance to ‘Rewrite the Stars’ was a tribute to his brother. He shared that his brother has always been incredibly supportive and selfless, and Dylan hopes to provide the same kind of positive influence for his daughter, Olivia.
