Dylan Efron Shares Love for Ashley Tisdale Amid Toxic Mom Group Drama

Dylan Efron is all in this together with Ashley Tisdale. 

Following the popularity of her essay about a difficult mother group, the star of Traitors discussed his long-standing relationship with Ashley, who appeared with his brother, Zac Efron, in the High School Musical series.

You know, as someone who observes relationships a lot, I always say it’s important to start from a place of trust. That’s definitely how Dylan feels about Ashley! He recently shared on Watch What Happens Live that he’s known her forever and she’s always been incredibly kind. He really doesn’t believe she’d intentionally hurt anyone in the mom group, and he’s hoping this whole situation is just a big misunderstanding. It’s a good reminder that sometimes, things aren’t always as they seem!

The 33-year-old was sure to add, “I honestly don’t know what’s going on, though.”

Dylan isn’t the only one who doesn’t fully understand what Ashley described in her January article for The Cut. In that piece, she wrote about a group of mothers who went from being a support system to a source of stress and conflict.

Despite a representative denying any connection to the group on January 5th, fans online pointed to past photos of Ashley with Meghan Trainor, Hilary Duff, and Mandy Moore as evidence she may have been involved. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star had described the group as becoming a negative environment with catty behavior.

Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, also responded to Ashley’s essay. He shared a mock “new interview” on his Instagram Stories on January 6th. The post, titled “When You’re The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers: A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes,” offered his perspective on the situation.

A week later, Meghan posted a TikTok video playfully claiming she had nothing to do with the conflict among the moms in her group. She added a caption saying, “I swear I’m innocent!” to emphasize her point.

After some discussion, Dylan stated he’s truly unaware of what’s happening with the mom group, but he continues to fully support Ashley.

She’s been incredibly kind,” the Dancing With the Stars contestant said on Watch What Happens Live. “She showed up to support me during the show, so I’m really surprised by all this drama.”

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that she considered Danny Masterson, known from “That ’70s Show,” to be the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a consistently impolite and unpleasant person.

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I will completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea what you’re up against, young man.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean, after Brittany posted a video on Instagram. In the video, she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition genders during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoys her feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d ever met, explaining that Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized publicly, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and expressing her sincere regret for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t. She explained that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.

JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to an entire community.”

I remember when this all went down! Back in June 2021, Courtney Love called out Olivia Rodrigo, saying Olivia’s promotional photo looked a lot like the cover art for my favorite Hole album, and that Olivia hadn’t given credit where it was due. Olivia’s response was super sweet – she just said she loved Courtney and understood what she was going through. But Courtney, being Courtney, came back with a playfully passive-aggressive reply, basically saying ‘You’re welcome!’ and then offering to share the details of her favorite florist in London – she wanted Olivia to DM her! It was such a bizarre and funny exchange, and honestly, I loved it.

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the Forrest Gump star during filming of their 1989 movie, Turner & Hooch.

I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, as I had everything I needed with me, he said.

Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

Those who watched The Hills probably recall Lauren’s famous line from the beginning of season three. The drama between her and Heidi started when Heidi began dating Spencer Pratt, and it really exploded when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off film featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson remained part of the cast.

Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken directly to Johnson, though they plan to. He did, however, speak with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he often ended up speaking for others involved with the franchise, but he regretted being the only one to publicly share those opinions, taking full responsibility for it. He said it was unprofessional and a mistake.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during concert tours, ended when Perry sent Swift an olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared on Instagram that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room and said it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, successfully avoided rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.

During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were never friends, only coworkers.

She was deeply upset, explaining that she found a recent conversation really disturbing. She said it didn’t match her own memories of what happened, and they had already discussed it the previous week.

It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the unique experience we all shared. While it started as a professional collaboration, it evolved into something deeply personal over the years. I’m hoping that those years of working on something special, and the connections we built, will ultimately be more memorable than any recent disagreements. It was a privilege to be a part of something so meaningful and to connect with people in that way.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

 

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously said that claiming she was the best live act was ridiculous, questioning how lip-syncing could be considered a live performance. I shared with Oprah Winfrey on her show, Oprah’s Next Chapter, back in 2012 how I felt about Katherine’s choice. Honestly, it hurt a little, but I wasn’t completely shocked. I’ve really learned to live by the idea that you need to pay attention to how people actually behave – believe what they show you. It’s a motto I’ve carried with me ever since, and it’s been incredibly helpful in both my personal and professional life.

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the argument with Nicki.

Cardi B recently told W magazine that someone has been repeatedly criticizing her. She explained that she’d tried to resolve the issue with this person twice, and they seemed to agree, but the attacks continued.

The conflict truly escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had seemingly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually interact with the tweet.
