Hey everyone, just a heads-up for all my Dynasty Warriors fans! I was rewatching the Nintendo Direct and noticed something cool – the big DLC for Dynasty Warriors: Origins is dropping on January 22nd, 2026. Even better, it’s launching at the same time as the version for the new Nintendo Switch 2! So, if you’ve been waiting to jump back in, it looks like early 2026 is the time to do it.
The expansion is also coming to PS5, of course, on that same date.
Ever since it was first announced in August, this downloadable content has sparked a lot of discussion and guessing among fans of the popular Koei Tecmo game series.
Most ideas propose this is a different path through the game’s storyline, where the main character initially chooses to align with one of three kingdoms at war.
Some people think the downloadable content might happen after the main story ends, but that seems like something better suited for a completely new game.
Despite any reservations, this is a major expansion, as the publisher has repeatedly emphasized. They are clearly presenting it as an important development.
Now that we know when the DLC is coming out, we expect to hear more details soon.
What are you hoping to see in the upcoming DLC for Origins? If you enjoyed the main game, let us know, and share your thoughts in the comments below!
