EA Sports FC 26 Finally Adds Much-Requested Ultimate Team Feature

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled about the recent unveiling of EA Sports FC 26 and its major Ultimate Team update. The comeback of Tournaments and the revamps for Rivals and Champs are undeniably exhilarating, but what truly stands out is Electronic Arts’ planned overhaul for disconnections in online play. For years, players like me have been pleading for improvements in this area, and finally, our voices have been heard! These changes promise to significantly enhance competitive online modes, making them even more enjoyable.

As a gamer in FIFA 26, if I’m leading or tied with an opponent and they abruptly exit the game, whether due to an accidental disconnect or dashboard quit, I’ll be awarded the win. This is quite different from past EA FIFA games and it significantly reduces the frustration of facing opponents who try to sneakily quit to avoid a loss.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s a certain number of times you can utilize this function daily. Unfortunately, EA hasn’t revealed the specific number of victories per day yet, but there will be a cap. This is an intricate matter considering the numerous variables that can occur during a game. Luckily, EA seems to be paying attention to its players’ feedback, which might lead to the developers continuously tweaking this feature throughout the FIFA 26 cycle and beyond.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the team is addressing the concerns about disconnect issues in Rush, and they’re planning some fixes in this area. It seems that those who frequently abandon Rush matches prematurely will be subjected to matchmaking delays. While this isn’t a comprehensive solution, it’s another positive move from EA Sports towards resolving the numerous problems that have been hindering the enjoyment of online modes in EA FC.

In EA Sports FC 26, the changes you see are just a small part of what’s to come for Ultimate Team. As previously stated, Tournaments are set to return in a significant way, offering players a straightforward entry into knockout competitions and the chance to collect rewards. For those seeking a less intense version of this mode, there’s also the Gauntlet, a new feature where players won’t be eliminated from the competition.

In addition to EA FC 26, some significant modifications are being made to Evolutions: Now, goalkeepers can undergo evolutions, and EA Sports is integrating reusable Evos for greater team-building versatility. Furthermore, you’ll have the ability to select which cosmetics alter when initiating a new Evolution, ensuring that your preferred appearance won’t be altered during an upgrade.

You won’t have to wait much longer to explore everything yourself, as EA Sports FC 26 is set to release on September 26th across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC platforms. If you decide to go for the Ultimate Edition, you can begin playing seven days earlier starting from September 19th, but that will add an additional $40 to your cost.
