Career Mode in EA Sports FC 26 lets you live out a role-playing experience – you create a Player or Manager and guide them through a season. However, getting started and understanding the first few steps can be a little tricky.
This guide is a complete explainer for the Career Mode in EA Sports FC 26.
Career Mode Setup
First, decide whether you want to control a Player or a Manager. After this initial choice, you’ll need to download any necessary data updates. You can do this easily through the prompt, or alternatively, go to Settings -> Edit Teams -> Download Updates to do it manually.
Player Career
As I play, my character gets better by going through training, finishing goals during matches, and just generally playing the game. It’s all about putting in the time and completing objectives to see my career progress. There are a lot of different ways to improve, but it all comes down to gameplay activities and consistent effort.
It’s easy to play with Real or Icon Players, but new avatars let you personalize your experience with Origin Stories, allowing you to customize your background.
These Origin Stories will have some bearing on team relationships and career progression.
Manager Career
A Manager’s career progresses by assembling a winning squad, and amassing trophies.
Managers can also be custom created, if Real Managers aren’t suited to your style.
Live Start Points
Similar to how fantasy football works, Live Start Points allows you to predict outcomes of the current real-world season, using actual data as its base. You’re able to join in at any time. Both Players and Managers can participate in this unique, alternate-reality experience.
Leveling Up In Career Mode
Coach Management is the process Managers use to find and recruit suitable Coaches from the Coach Market. These Coaches help players improve in particular areas, which ultimately strengthens the entire team’s capabilities.
On the other hand, players need to finish different Training Drills and game goals to improve their Manager Rating. This rating determines if your player will be benched or even cut from the team.
That is everything there is to know about Career Mode in EA Sports FC 26.
