Black Friday is a fantastic time for gamers! Many popular games, including one EA title usually priced at $70 that’s currently marked down to the same price with a 90% discount, are available at huge savings. You can finally grab those games you’ve been wanting and build up your collection without spending a fortune. Many of this year’s Game of the Year nominees are also on sale, letting fans enjoy the best games of 2025 for less. If you’re hesitant to buy a game at full price or just don’t have time, waiting for the holiday sales is a great strategy.
Racing fans can look forward to Need for Speed Unbound this holiday season. While it wasn’t originally expected until 2025, it’s a surprisingly welcome addition to the lineup. The Need for Speed series has seen its share of successes and setbacks, but Criterion Games consistently tries new things. With Need for Speed Unbound, they’ve really changed the game’s appearance, adding vibrant animated street art and effects. It’s a fresh take on the series that some players are already enjoying.
Need for Speed Unbound Drops to $6.99 for Black Friday
If you’ve been wanting a new racing game, or waiting for a good deal on Unbound, now’s a great time to buy. The digital version of Need for Speed Unbound is currently just $7 on Xbox, PlayStation, and the EA app. For a more complete experience, two deluxe editions are available for $9.59 and $12.74, offering extra in-game items and content.
It seems this new Need for Speed game might be the only one we get for a good while. Reports suggest the next installment was cancelled so the developers at Criterion Games could help with the upcoming Battlefield 6. While Criterion will likely work on Need for Speed again eventually, the Battlefield series might keep them busy for the foreseeable future. So, if you’re hoping for another Need for Speed title, you might want to consider buying this one, Unbound, while it’s available.
