Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) might face jail time on EastEnders, now that her grandmother, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), has begun testifying in her murder trial.
Zoe Slater’s daughter, Michelle Ryan, faces a possible life sentence for killing her father, Anthony Trueman, on Christmas Day. While she was defending herself, the video she took at the time doesn’t clearly show that, which could lead to a conviction.
Many questions remain about whether Jasmine is truly innocent and if her actions were justified, even if they resulted in someone’s death.
Things get even harder for Jasmine when Anthony’s father, Patrick (Rudolph Walker), who is still mourning, learns about what happened. He’s released a video that could ruin Jasmine’s chances of getting out of prison.
As the trial approached, tensions remained high between Kat’s two families. She exchanged a significant look towards the Fox-Truemans, who were now with Jasmine’s twin brother, Josh Goodwin (played by Joshua Vaughan).

Richie Scott, Kat’s lawyer, suggested she write a statement for the court. Kat wasn’t keen on the idea at first, but she realized it could help Zoe and Josh build a stronger connection.
Despite everything, it seems the Slaters might have already lost Josh. News arrived in Walford that Josh’s adoptive mother, Sandra (Dawn Steele), had been offered a council house in Southend, and they’re planning to move very soon.

Kat was hoping to make the right choice by providing a good reference, so she met with Sandra to learn more about Jasmine’s past. Sandra shared a tragic story: Jasmine’s former husband, Keith, had died in a car accident while driving her back to get her things from a swimming pool. He had been trying to help her through a difficult time.
The reason for the crash remained a mystery, but Sandra suspected Jasmine was involved. She noticed a strange look on Jasmine’s face, confirming her feeling that something wasn’t right and there was more to what happened.

A seed of doubt now troubling Kat, she went to court to share her account of what happened. Jasmine watched, upset, as her grandmother was questioned about whether she had any doubts about Kat’s innocence and if she might have been dishonest about the events.
Kat finally admitted there were many things still unclear and suspected Jasmine hadn’t been completely honest.
How will this impact the verdict, and will it ruin Zoe’s future with her children?
