EastEnders airs shock passion for Zoe Slater following intriguing tormenter twist in BBC iPlayer release

EastEnders continues to explore who is making Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) life miserable. She’s suspected many people already, and next week she’ll even accuse her own brother, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall).

However, there’s one person involved who hasn’t gotten much attention – someone Zoe hasn’t publicly blamed or attacked as much as others.

It’s none other than Dr Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), who is definitely hiding something.

We’re just not exactly sure what.

He and Zoe dated in the past, but she rejected his kiss when he tried to kiss her in September.

Things at The Queen Vic got really strange after that. It started with pictures being messed up, then Zoe’s cat vanished! We had trouble in the cellar, and someone started a nasty online campaign against us. To top it all off, they even spray-painted something on the back door. It was a really unsettling time, honestly.

A home video of the Slater family surfaced at the pub, showing Kat Moon’s uncle, Harry – who was later revealed to be a child abuser – speaking to her. This happened even though someone had already tried to discard the tape.

Zoe started things off, and once everyone else had gone, Anthony came out of the restroom. He claimed he hadn’t done anything wrong, and surprisingly, Zoe calmed down and decided he wasn’t the one who had been stalking her.

However, in tonight’s episode, he was spotted doing something very suspicious.

Zoe and Jean Slater were arguing once more, this time about Freddie Slater’s plan to travel. Zoe encouraged Jean to let him go, explaining that stopping him would be selfish.

Anthony was looking at photos of Zoe on his laptop when she called, asking if she could come over for a glass of wine. He was happy to hear from her.

They kissed, and she led him toward the stairs. Anthony watched from below, appearing happy with how things were going.

Is he Zoe’s tormenter?
