Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) has left EastEnders after just 18 months on our screens.
This follows his decision to admit responsibility for the murder of Okie Okyere (played by Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu), who had been bullying his son, Harry (Elijah Holloway), and Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) for several months.
Harry unintentionally stabbed the drug dealer, but Teddy couldn’t face the thought of his son being in prison for the rest of his life.
Everyone had hoped Ritchie Scott, a leading lawyer played by Sîan Webber, could help him receive a shorter prison sentence, but the judge didn’t agree. Yesterday, he was sentenced to life in prison and won’t be eligible for parole for at least 20 years.

A prison officer revealed on today’s show that he’s being transferred to Durham, which is a long distance from his family. He feels this marks a definite end to things.

Back in Albert Square, Harry was overwhelmed and had taken a drug overdose. Gina Knight discovered him unconscious in the Arches and immediately called his mother, Nicola, and the paramedics.
Teddy didn’t know what was happening when his brother, Billy, came to see him. Billy told him Harry was seriously ill and vowed to take care of things. However, Billy accidentally made a big mistake…

Billy let slip that Nic was pregnant with George Knight’s baby, which came as a huge shock to Teddy.
With his upcoming move to the North East looming, there wasn’t time to fully process what was happening. Billy assured him he’d come visit, but Teddy then revealed something surprising.
He asked his brother to warn George that Nicola is “poison”, and would ruin his life.
Is there still another side to Nicola that we haven’t seen?
