Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) has left two characters injured in the latest edition of EastEnders.
I was so sorry to hear about Nigel! He was planning this incredible trip to India with his wife, Julie – a real dream come true for them. He even decided to sell his treasured car to make it happen. But, in a really unfortunate accident, he accidentally scrubbed the car with a wire brush before the sale, and it ended up a bit damaged. It just breaks my heart for him, after all that planning!
Car dealer Lauren Beale, played by Jacqueline Jossa, lowered the price for a customer, but accidentally bothered Nigel, who wasn’t feeling well, when she confirmed he understood the paperwork.
Nigel desperately wanted one last drive, and this led to an argument with Julie. He confessed he wouldn’t be able to travel to India and felt she was treating him like a child because his dementia was getting worse.
Nigel found the spare car keys Julie had hidden and took the car for a drive.
He got into trouble when the engine flooded, but eventually managed to get the car going again.
Nigel was on the phone with Julie and didn’t notice Gina Knight and her friend Jasmine walking in the street.
Jasmine shoved Gina aside, and Nigel then tripped Jasmine, sending her tumbling. Gina landed a few feet away in a disorganized pile.
Will the girls survive?
Jasmine is caught up in a puzzling situation involving Cindy Beale, the new boss, and it doesn’t seem likely she’ll be leaving the show anytime soon. The mystery surrounding their connection suggests she’ll stick around for a while.
