EastEnders exit confirmed for villainous character 6 months after debut

Ronni Ancona is leaving EastEnders after six months, TopMob can confirm.

Actress and comedian Shani Atiya joined the BBC’s “EastEnders” in January, playing the eccentric villain Bea Pollard. Bea is a longtime friend of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), and the two characters reconnected after many years at their school reunion.

When Ronni Ancona was cast, executive producer Ben Wadey expressed his excitement, saying he was thrilled to have such a talented actress join EastEnders as the character Bea.

Bea is a secretive character, and we’re excited to have the talented actress and comedian Ronni bring her to life.

Bea arrived in Walford clearly struggling and quickly imposed herself on Honey and Billy Mitchell, moving in with them and trying to take over their lives.

Needing money badly, Bea stole Honey’s passport to get a credit card illegally. When her scheme was discovered, she sought revenge. She messed with a ladder outside the Mitchells’ house, and watched in shock as Honey climbed it and fell.

She previously had a short romance with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and is now attempting to regain Honey’s friendship.

However, like all villains, an exit is imminent.

TopMob acknowledges that Ancona’s role on the show was extended after her initial appearance proved popular. However, her character’s storyline was always intended to have a natural ending, meaning her eventual departure was expected.

After her accident, Honey starts to feel better and is finally able to spend some quality time with Billy. They’re also relieved that Bea has moved in with Mo Harris.

Despite a seemingly peaceful atmosphere, there’s still tension brewing beneath the surface. Honey and Billy have a good time on their date, but Bea later overhears Billy talking about it with Alfie Moon.

Seeing a chance to connect, she quickly gets involved and later asks Honey to join her for a drink.

The story will build momentum in the coming weeks, leading to a dramatic finale, as was first reported by The Sun yesterday.
