Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon on EastEnders, has hinted at some major storylines involving his character and Kat Slater. He says the upcoming events have really surprised him.
The beloved actor, famous for his role on Albert Square, shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with TopMob at a recent performance of Cabaret. He also commended the work of Ben Wadley, the soap opera’s executive producer.
I’m really looking forward to some major storylines coming up on EastEnders, especially those involving Kat and Alfie. Our executive producer, Ben, is doing an amazing job championing the show.

Richie shared that the upcoming episodes have some incredible storylines. He’s constantly surprised and thrilled by the scripts and can’t wait for viewers to see them.
The actor was also questioned about potentially appearing in future seasons of The Celebrity Traitors, and surprisingly shared that he’d even pitched the idea of mentioning the show within an episode of EastEnders.
He enthusiastically agreed, saying he’d love to participate in ‘Traitors.’ He joked that he’s been discussing with the show’s producer the idea of filming it in the famous ‘Queen Vic’ pub, calling it ‘Alfie Traitors in the Queen Vic.’
“You know what I mean? Just as something that Alfie puts on in the pub. So that’d be good fun.”
It’s easy to imagine an EastEnders take on The Traitors being just as full of twists, turns, and backstabbing as the original. It feels like a perfect match!
