EastEnders kicks off Jack Branning scheme against Ravi Gulati after Zoe shooting in BBC iPlayer release

While Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) was recuperating in the hospital, she persistently declined help from her mother, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace). In this period, Jack and Ravi worked diligently to hide their involvement, following the altercation over a gun that resulted in the unfortunate incident.

While colleague DS Spencer was visiting, Jack stated that it was possible he had seen Ravi on the night of the shooting, though he insisted he was with his family at the time.

Overhearing Jack leave The Queen Vic in search of Ravi, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) inquired about his choice to mislead the authorities as she was aware that he had at least departed the pub for this purpose.

Brushing Denise off, Jack secretly kept the gun in a safe in the living room.

In the meantime, Ravi tried persuading Jack by emphasizing his expertise in hiding evidence. However, Jack countered by explaining he was skillful at avoiding surveillance cameras, and instructed Ravi to keep a low profile until things calmed down.

When Ravi pointed out that it was he who had pulled the trigger, he managed to persuade Jack to arrange a meeting with him, so they could jointly get rid of the firearm.

DS Spencer found evidence indicating that the bullet originated from a weapon linked to Ravi, leading her to interrogate him.

Afterward, Ravi provided Jack as his alibi. However, Jack lied, claiming he intended to make Ravi an informant instead. This convinced a reluctant Spencer to release Ravi.

Ravi was cleared because Jack vouched for him, but Jack fibbed and said he aimed to convert Ravi into an informer, convincing an apprehensive Spencer to set Ravi free.

When she went back to meet Jack in the evening, trying to convince him to understand the broader context and cooperate in taking down Ravi, instead, Jack quietly told an angry Ravi that he had no intention of working with him on the mission, involving the gun.
