EastEnders’ Mark Fowler deals menacing warning amid Vicki’s infidelity in BBC iPlayer release

I’m really struck by how protective Mark Fowler is of his sister, Vicki! He’s made it incredibly clear – if anyone tries anything with her, they’ll have to deal with him. It’s a strong warning, and you can really feel his loyalty towards her.

Wow, Vicki’s life is a whirlwind! Just when you think things can’t get more complicated, she finds herself caught in a love triangle. And the timing? Terrible. It’s all happening right before her step-son, Joel, goes to trial for some seriously heavy charges – everything from assault to incredibly disturbing offenses involving indecent images. It’s a lot to unpack, and honestly, a really stressful setup for what’s to come.

She hadn’t seen her father, Ross (Alex Walkinshaw), for months and worried that even if Joel went to prison, he would always impact their lives, preventing them from returning to normal.

A romantic connection started to develop between her and Zack Hudson (James Farrar), but they decided not to pursue things after Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) unexpectedly caught them kissing.

Ross really wanted to fix things with Vicki, and after a lot of convincing, she agreed to try taking their relationship one step at a time.

Feeling vulnerable and needing comfort, she went back to Zack and they spent the night together. Afterwards, she felt deeply guilty and realized her feelings for Ross hadn’t changed, especially after going through the trial.

This led him to propose this week, getting down on one knee, but before Vicki could respond, she admitted to being unfaithful.

Ross was incredibly upset and embarrassed, and he urgently needed to know who Vicki had been with and if he recognized the person. Vicki, however, completely lied, claiming it was just a one-time encounter with a stranger and that she didn’t even learn his name.

Ross was baffled, finding it hard to accept that she would be intimate with someone she barely knew.

He went to The Vic after leaving in a huff, hoping for advice from Alfie Moon, Harvey Monroe, and Ian Beale. At the same time, Mark reassured Vicki that he’d respect whatever choice she made, no matter who she ended up with.

She said she loved Ross, and that she was willing to put everything with Zack behind her.

Zack brought a girl back to his apartment, but he felt awkward when she started flirting with him. She’d noticed him looking at Vicki earlier and was now pushing him to go talk to her and make his feelings clear.

Vicki was shocked to see him at her door, and he felt humiliated that Ross had proposed to her first.

Soon after, Ross returned home and said he was ready to discuss things. Even though his friends thought the broken trust would end their relationship, he decided to forgive her. They then went to a pub to announce their engagement to everyone.

Zack was deeply embarrassed as he watched the party. Mark then walked up to him and warned him to leave Vicki alone, since she was now with Ross, or there would be trouble.

Will Zack listen to the advice?
