EastEnders’ Michelle Collins teases “more dysfunction” for scheming Cindy Beale

Without a doubt, Cindy Beale (portrayed by Michelle Collins) is inevitably linked to the most captivating plot twists in the world of EastEnders.

Frequently, the memorable figure lands herself in predicaments, ones she’s usually responsible for creating, and must extricate herself from them, sometimes subtly and other times less so. The outcome is almost always heartbreaking for another character.

Recently, the actress Collins has been more reserved than typical on the soap opera for the past several months. However, she hinted that some captivating plot developments are in store for her character.

In awe, I find myself staring at their work, exclaiming internally, “Wow, what’s this brilliant mind cooking up next?” Indeed, there are remarkable individuals, especially women, who continue to astonish us with their creative endeavors!

While sharing the screen with Steve McFadden, who, like me, is in his sixties (specifically 63), Collins went on to say: “It’s wonderful that Steve and I are around the same age, and I believe it’s significant that we’re narrating tales about individuals our age, both men and women.

“We have stories to tell and we’re still alive!”

McFadden added: “In another world, you wouldn’t tell those stories, and we get a platform in soap.”

At the National Television Awards, EastEnders enjoyed a successful evening. Mark McFadden won the category for Outstanding Performance in a Soap Opera, and EastEnders itself was honored with the award for Best Serial Drama.
