EastEnders favourite Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) has collapsed to the floor in devastation.
The family’s had a difficult week. Their oldest son, Harry (Elijah Holloway), accidentally stabbed his rival, Okie Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu), in a fight.
As viewers may remember, Okie held Harry captive for weeks and made him force his friend Kojo Asare (played by Dayo Koleosho) to sell drugs throughout London. Once Kojo managed to free Harry, they both courageously went to the police and revealed Okie’s role in the drug operation, which was run by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Just as they thought the ordeal was over, Okie held Kojo at knifepoint.

Terrified, he phoned Harry, but Harry accidentally stabbed him in the stomach. Okie died in his arms, calling for his mother before he passed away.
Teddy (Roland Manookian) rushed in and found his son upset and next to the body. Harry was deeply traumatized by the event and immediately started thinking about what to do next.
They both went back to Number One, and Harry was told to take a shower while the police and a lawyer were contacted. While Harry was away, Teddy went back to where the crime happened and decided to take the blame.
Okay, so tonight’s episode really centered around Teddy’s worry as he waited to hear about his legal situation. Billy Mitchell was seriously concerned Teddy wouldn’t get a fair shake without a good lawyer, and he took matters into his own hands, calling on his cousin Phil – yes, that Phil Mitchell – to try and pull some strings. It was a classic Mitchell family intervention, honestly.
When the Mitchells find themselves in trouble, Phil always relies on his lawyer, Ritchie Scott (played by Sîan Webber), to help them out.

Despite her worry, Nicola tried to appear strong for her sons. She told them Teddy would be back quickly and brought them together for dinner.
She understood he might stay imprisoned forever, but she still hoped Ritchie’s skills could secure his release.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as expected. Teddy called with upsetting news: the Crown Prosecution Service decided there was enough evidence to charge Ritchie with murder.
Despite being estranged from each other for quite some time, Nicola was utterly broken by the news.
Is this the end of Teddy’s time in Albert Square?
