EastEnders serial killer to return after 4 years – with huge repercussions for Chelsea Fox

Please be aware that this article discusses sensitive topics like sexual assault and domestic violence, which may be upsetting to some readers.

Gray Atkins, the EastEnders serial killer, will be back on the show after a four-year absence, with scenes expected to air in just a few weeks.

A corrupt lawyer caused the deaths of three people starting in 2022. He was eventually arrested and convicted after admitting his guilt.

Last week, TopMob learned that Toby-Alexander Smith is returning to the BBC soap opera. He’s already begun filming scenes at the set in Elstree, Hertfordshire. However, because his character, Gray, is in prison, his return will be brief.

His return will likely cause problems for his separated wife, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), who is already facing a dramatic year.

In a brief scene set in the future, she was shown as a possible wife for Max Branning on New Year’s Day in 2027. This has led to speculation that she might be getting a divorce.

Over the next few months, Chelsea will learn that her mum, Denise, has been diagnosed with a serious type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukaemia. With the Fox family facing a difficult time, Chelsea will likely start thinking about her future and try to escape the ongoing trauma in her life.

Before Gray married her, he had already murdered three people. His first wife, Chantelle (played by Jessica Plummer), was his first victim, and their story highlighted the horrors of domestic abuse.

I was absolutely horrified learning about what Chantelle went through. He’d been controlling and abusive for so long, and even moving to Walford didn’t offer her any escape. It was devastating to discover he’d not only learned about her heartbreaking miscarriage, but then subjected her to such a horrific act and tried to force her into having another child. It’s just unimaginable.

As she attempted to flee, Gray shoved her onto a knife that was inside the open dishwasher.

Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) soon learned the truth, and he killed her by strangling her, then concealed her body in the abandoned Argee Bhajee restaurant.

In a desperate attempt to prevent Whitney Dean from leaving with Kush Kazemi, he ultimately pushed Kush into the path of an approaching Underground train after a prolonged confrontation.

He avoided any consequences for his actions and soon began a relationship with Chelsea. They quickly started a family, and she became pregnant with their son, Jordan. They got married on Christmas Day in 2021, and she went into labor shortly after the wedding.

Only three months after starting to abuse Chelsea, Gray admitted to his actions and tried to end his life by jumping from the Turpin Road viaduct. He later pleaded guilty in court and received his sentence.

While Gray is only back for a short period, it’s bound to be explosive.
