EastEnders spoilers for this week reveal aftermath of Ian Beale and Elaine Peacock’s inevitable passion

Okay, so last week’s EastEnders really threw me for a loop. I definitely didn’t predict this! The ongoing feud between Ian Beale and Elaine Peacock took a seriously unexpected turn – they actually started a romantic relationship! It was a complete surprise, and honestly, a bit of a shock to see those two together.

Although Ian and his partner used questionable methods throughout the election campaign, winning didn’t feel good. His victory was overshadowed by the fact that he wasn’t proud of how he’d achieved it.

Fans were stunned when Ian and Elaine suddenly kissed. Ian made the first move, and Elaine kissed him back. He quickly left afterward, leaving everyone wondering if this means a romantic relationship is developing between them.

In the next few episodes, the story will really get moving, but romance isn’t likely to be a part of it. Bea’s mischievous behavior will actually cause more problems than anything else.

Next week on the show, Bea will be nervously checking on Ian as he starts his new job as a councillor. He’s so focused on both his new role and his recent kiss with Elaine that he completely forgets it’s his mother Kathy’s birthday.

Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) is increasingly worried about someone stealing her identity. After questioning Bea about her moving plans, Bea reveals she’s going to live with her boyfriend, Ian. However, a newspaper article mistakenly suggests Bea and Ian are already married, causing Ian to end their relationship.

Ian is about to discover that Bea has committed fraud by using Honey’s credit card to buy votes for him. Worried about the potential consequences for his new role as a councillor if the police get involved, Ian wonders what Honey and the other concerned residents of Walford will do about Bea’s actions.

Honey will gather Elaine, Ian, and Linda to talk about what happens next. However, it looks like Elaine and Ian might also be planning a private meeting. Now that Ian is becoming single, will he finally act on any feelings he has for Elaine?

We’ll just have to wait and see!
