EastEnders’ Zoe Slater suffers another setback in search for son as Sharon Watts deals devastating blow

Even though Sharon Watts is currently in Florida, her actions are causing Zoe Slater more worry back home in EastEnders.

Sharon recently traveled to the United States to visit her friend Michelle Fowler (Susan Tully). She was upset after learning that Zoe had been dishonest about who fathered her twins, born in 2006.

As a longtime viewer, I remember Zoë claiming she had Dennis Rickman’s – Sharon’s brother and eventual husband – children about twenty years ago. It was a huge shock! She apparently left the hospital right after giving birth and never even found out if her daughter was okay, sadly learning the baby wasn’t breathing.

Honestly, it was a mess. After she couldn’t find her son, she started taking money from Max Branning, which was already a bad move. Then, when things went south with Max, she actually lied to Sharon, hoping Sharon would give her the money instead. It was a really desperate and manipulative thing to do, and I couldn’t believe she’d stoop so low.

Sharon really wanted to reconnect with Dennis, so she hired a private investigator to look into the situation.

However, in today’s episode, they had some bad news.

Zoe was shaken up after a frightening Halloween night. She was trapped in the Queen Vic’s barrel store, convinced she’d heard something disturbing, and genuinely feared for her safety. It’s still unclear whether what she experienced was real or just her imagination, but it left her deeply scared.

To top it all off, her cat is now missing, and she suspects her tormenter is responsible.

Despite the ongoing concern, the lead investigator called her to the break room to share a case update. She learned that Sharon had pulled her financial support, and the investigation was now officially over.

Zoe was devastated and pleaded with the private investigator to reconsider, hoping for any clues that might help her find her child. But the investigator demanded another £3,000 before sharing any information.

Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) wanted to offer assistance, but felt she couldn’t afford to sell anything from her business. Meanwhile, her husband Alfie (Shane Richie) wasn’t sure if he believed her when she said someone was bothering her.

Could Zoe be making it up to gain sympathy?
