It seems that despite already receiving a good deal of post-release support from developers FromSoftware, there appears to be even more in store for Elden Ring Nightreign. Some sleuths have uncovered hints of a completely new gameplay mode being added to the game. As per Reddit user Adminisitrator, this new mode could potentially be named “Deep of Night” and might involve an endless play style.
Based on information discovered through data mining, it appears that the game mode doesn’t permit players to choose the specific boss battle they aim for. As you progress deeper in your run, the difficulty level increases as well. Overcoming rounds in the Deep of Night can lead to more challenging encounters and a boost to your rating as a reward.
The ratings in this system range from 0 to over 6,000, and are organized into five clear levels or tiers. Each tier permits a player to progress further into the Deep of the Night game mode. Initially, players begin at a rating of 0, which allows them access to Depth 1. After reaching a rating of 1,000, they can advance to Depth 2. These tiers are split into increments of 1,000 points, with the maximum apparent rating being 6,000 and higher, granting entry to Depth 5.
1) In the rating system, compatibility between players will primarily focus on their chosen Depth level. If there aren’t enough players available, the search will broaden to include those in different Depth levels too. On the other hand, the Relics system will undergo an expansion, enabling players to equip extra Relics that become active only during the Deep of Night game mode. This enhancement could significantly boost player power, as the game can now accommodate up to six active relics simultaneously.
During gameplay, you’ll notice significant variations from one moment to the next. It appears that opponents could become “magmafied,” which suggests they’ve been exposed to intense heat or lava. Furthermore, the loot you gather during a run is expected to undergo modifications. Weapons you find may come with penalties as well as advantages.
Last week saw a significant update for Elden Ring Nightreign. Besides squashing bugs and tweaking user interfaces, this update introduced a notable feature – two-player expeditions. Now, players can customize the number of adventurers embarking on an expedition via the Expedition Type menu.
Today, an upcoming update is planned to introduce a transformation for Fissure in the Fog, referred to as the Everdark treatment. This update will empower players to face a more challenging variant of Caligo, Miasma of Night’s boss. The battle may involve novel strategies and maneuvers that players must learn to overcome.
The game titled “Elden Ring Nightreign” can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. For a comprehensive overview, feel free to read our review for additional information.
