Ellie Goldstein speaks out on first Strictly show after disappointing scores

Ellie Goldstein shared her thoughts after her debut on Strictly Come Dancing. She and her partner, Vito Coppola, earned a score of 17, placing them towards the lower end of the competition’s leaderboard.

The pair danced a lively and glittering Cha Cha to Ariana Grande’s song, “yes, and?” and the model performer received a gift from judge Shirley Ballas.

Craig Revel Horwood thought the performance was a bit heavy-footed, but the other judges really liked it. Shirley Ballas was particularly impressed and gave Ellie a fan with the word “fabulous” written on it.

People watching the dance shared their excitement online, with one viewer exclaiming, “Ellie was amazing! What a beautiful first dance – you could see how happy she was. Vito is a fantastic partner, and I’m thrilled for both of them!”

During the show, some viewers observed moments where Ellie seemed to be receiving support from the other dancers. For example, Karen Hauer was seen gently stroking her hand, and Dianne Buswell playfully touched her hair.

I just watched Ellie’s dance, and honestly, it was infectious! Afterwards, she posted on Instagram, and her excitement really came through. She said she had the time of her life and was just overflowing with happiness and gratitude – and you could absolutely feel that energy in her performance. It was a joy to watch!

TopMob confirmed that Ellie is doing great. After the first live show of the season, she and Vito were seen enjoying themselves on the dance floor with the rest of the cast, celebrating the successful broadcast.

The evening continued with Ellie and Vito celebrating Vito’s birthday cake backstage, and fans can find photos and videos on Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola’s Instagram stories.

Ellie called the night “incredible” and then posted a photo on Instagram of herself with Shirley’s admirer while in bed.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 4th October at 6:20pm.
