Ellie Goldstein hasn’t consistently been a frontrunner on Strictly Come Dancing, but she’s been improving with each performance. Her recent Barbie-themed dance was a huge hit with both the viewers and the judges.
As Movie Week continues on the show, Ellie and Vito performed a Samba to the song ‘Dance the Night’ from a popular new film. Before their dance, viewers saw a touching video of Ellie’s mother bringing in the very first Barbie doll created with Down syndrome, a project she worked on.
Ellie and Vito delivered a fantastic performance, perfectly capturing the essence of Barbie and Ken throughout their routine.

Judge Motsi Mabuse praised Ellie as the most improved contestant, and the other judges wholeheartedly agreed, noting her significant progress during the competition. Viewers at home were equally enthusiastic, flooding X with positive comments about her performance.
People are raving about Ellie! One user said she “changed my life,” and another praised her energetic and passionate performance, saying she really “gave it her all,” even if her technique could use some work.
One “Strictly” fan praised Ellie’s dance, saying it perfectly captured the spirit of Movie Week and had a great energy. They simply loved it!
Honestly, everyone’s raving about Ellie! I saw someone online say she just completely melts their heart, and I totally get it – I’m thrilled for her too.
Another said, “Ellie & Vito have the dance of the night for me. That was an incredible Samba!”
Someone else commented, praising Ellie’s dance routine and the hard work she put into it. They said it was incredibly impressive, especially considering how many steps she had to learn, and congratulated her on a job well done!
Judge Anton Du Beke praised Ellie’s performance as “sensational.” She and her partner Vito received a score of 27 – sevens from Anton, Shirley, and Motsi, and a six from Craig. Ellie was pleased with the result and, if things go well in tomorrow’s show, hopes to continue entertaining viewers with her performances.
