Emilie Kiser is leaning on her online community.
Four months after the heartbreaking loss of her three-year-old son, Trigg, who drowned in their pool, the TikToker is returning to social media as she continues to cope with her grief.
Emilie admitted she was very nervous in a TikTok video posted on September 20th, while wearing a necklace featuring her son’s name. She said she wasn’t sure how to begin, but would try her best.
She said she’s really missed our daily conversations. She loves being part of this community and hopes that by sharing her experiences, she can reconnect with everyone and maybe even help others who are facing similar challenges.
The 26-year-old explained she hadn’t been active on social media recently, and has been focusing on taking life one day at a time. She plans to approach creating content in the same way.
I want to be honest – things aren’t great, and I don’t want to pretend they are, even though I’m starting to create content again,” Emilie explained. “Making videos is actually helping me process things. I’ve really missed connecting with you all, but I’m not sure what that will look like moving forward, or how much I’ll be able to share, particularly when it comes to dealing with my grief.”
She explained that she doesn’t want to publicly share her emotions online while she’s still trying to understand what she’s going through. She then offered support to anyone facing similar challenges, saying she loves them, is there for them, and understands their struggle.
Although the influencer recently showed a more everyday side of her life, she had previously said she would be more careful about what she posts online.
As a new mom, I joined social media back in 2021 hoping to connect with other moms and build a supportive community. But I’ve been doing some thinking, and I’m now planning to be more mindful about what I share online – I’m setting some healthy boundaries for myself and my family, including my little guy, Theodore, who’s six months old with Brady.
After her oldest son passed away, she realized her online relationship didn’t have healthy limits.
I hope to share more about my grieving process later, but right now, I just want to say thank you for all the love, support, and understanding you’ve shown us. I’m incredibly grateful for everything.
