Eminem‘s family continues to grow.
Rapper’s daughter, Alaina Marie Scott, shared that she and her husband, Matt Moeller, are expecting their first child. The couple married in 2023.
She announced the exciting news on Instagram on October 12th with the caption, “THE BEST OF YOU + ME.” She shared that she’d been carrying a baby for months, and it had already completely changed her life. She described the incredible feeling of knowing a little life was growing inside her, dreaming and developing, while she quietly wished and hoped for their future.
The new parents shared their joy, saying they’ve dreamed of expanding their family for a long time and are incredibly thankful for their baby. They expressed their gratitude to God and excitedly anticipate meeting their little one, Baby M.
Alaina, adopted by Eminem in the early 2000s, recently shared photos revealing she’s expecting a baby. She surprised her partner, Matt, with the news at the house they’re building. In the photos, she leads a blindfolded Matt into a room decorated with ‘BABY M’ balloons. She then removes his blindfold to reveal a shoebox containing tiny Nike sneakers and a positive pregnancy test.
The couple looks happy and in love in the photos, and Alaina is showing off a baby onesie that says “Baby Moeller coming 2026.”
Alaina married Matt two years ago, and Eminem gave her away at the wedding. Her biological mother is Dawn Scott, who was the sister of Eminem’s former wife, Kim Mathers.
Alaina described her June 2023 wedding to *People* magazine, sharing that she walked down an 80-foot aisle decorated with black and white squares. She added that her dad wouldn’t have missed the special moment for the world.
This exciting news comes shortly after her sister, Hailie Jade, welcomed her son, Elliot, seven months ago with her husband, Evan McClintock.
The 29-year-old influencer shared that having a child helped her understand the challenges her own father faced raising a family while in the public spotlight.
You know, I’ve really started to *get* where my dad was coming from. He always wanted to shield us, keep things private, but at the same time, he was bursting with pride over what we were all doing. It was like he was torn between wanting to protect us and wanting to shout about how amazing we were! It’s something I really understand now, and it makes me love him even more.
For me, it really comes down to finding the sweet spot between sharing my life and keeping things private. And honestly, becoming a parent has made that balance even *more* crucial. It’s something I think about a lot these days – how much to share, and what to keep just for us.

Kimberly Ann Scott, originally from Michigan, was Eminem’s high school girlfriend. They had a daughter, Hailie Jade, in 1995.
Kim and Eminem were married from 1999 to 2001, and again briefly in 2006. Their difficult relationship has been featured in several of Eminem’s songs, such as ’97 Bonnie & Clyde,’ ‘Puke,’ and ‘Bad Husband.’
Kim described a recurring cycle in her relationship, explaining in a 2007 interview with *20/20* that they typically had two good years together before things would fall apart. She felt they hadn’t yet reached that two-year mark and didn’t want to push things too quickly.
However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.
“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”
Oh my gosh, can you believe it? Hailie Jade was born on Christmas Day in 1995! And you know, Slim Shady himself has said becoming a dad was like a total jolt to the system. He’s said it really made him realize he needed to get his life together and *work* – it was a huge turning point for him, honestly. I’ve read every interview, and it’s just so sweet to see how much she impacted him!
In 2001, Eminem told *Q* magazine that everything he was working on was to secure Hailie’s future, specifically to pay for her college education.
She grew up largely in the Detroit area, living with Eminem in his large home, before going on to study psychology at Michigan State University. It was there she met her future husband, Evan McClintock, and they married in May 2024, after becoming engaged in 2023.
During a 2020 interview with Mike Tyson, Eminem shared that his daughter, Hailie Jade, recently graduated college with a 3.9 GPA. He said he’s very proud of her accomplishments.
In October 2024, Hailie announced her pregnancy with her and Evan’s first child, a baby boy.
Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott.
In the early 2000s, Eminem took legal guardianship of his niece because her mother was battling addiction. He explained to Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of his niece and shared custody of his daughter, Hailie. He emphasized he’d always been a constant presence in Hailie’s life and that his niece had been raised alongside her, essentially living with him and Kim wherever they were.
Alaina Marie Mathers, who considers Eminem a father figure and was raised largely by him, had him walk her down the aisle at her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.
After the wedding, where Hailie was her Maid of Honor, she told *People* magazine, ‘He wouldn’t have missed it for the world.’ She also shared how grateful she was, saying, ‘I’m so incredibly lucky to have my dad – none of this would have been possible without him.’
Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.
Kim and her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter, had Stevie on April 16, 2002. Eminem later legally adopted Stevie in 2005, after he and Kim got back together.
In August 2021, Stevie publicly shared that they are nonbinary and use all pronouns, in a TikTok video.
They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”
Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.
In her 2008 memoir, *My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem*, she revealed she married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., the father of the artist known as Eminem, when she was just 15 years old. Sixteen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and moved to Michigan to be near her grandmother.
The difficult relationship between Debbie and Eminem has appeared in his music, most notably in his 2002 song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In the song, he claimed his mother struggled with prescription pill abuse during his childhood, a claim she refuted in her autobiography.
She wondered, ‘What mother wants to be labeled an alcoholic dependent on government assistance?’ She explained that none of the accusations were true, but the lies continued to grow, eventually leading to a breakdown in her relationship with Marshall.
Eminem has since said he regrets making his family problems public. In his 2013 song “Headlights,” he admitted he spoke without considering the pain his words would cause, particularly to his mother, rapping, “I went in headfirst, never thinking about who, what I said hurt / In what verse, my mom probably got it the worst.”
Nelson died at the age of 69 in 2024 following a battle with cancer.
