Eminem’s Pregnant Daughter Alaina Scott Slams Criticism of Her Body

Alaina Scott isn’t gonna lose herself in the negative comments amid her pregnancy.

Just two weeks after sharing the news that she’s pregnant with her first child with husband Matt Moeller, Eminem’s oldest daughter responded to online criticism about her body. The comments came after a candid photo of her was shared online.

Alaina shared a photo of her baby bump on Instagram on October 21st, and explained she usually doesn’t pay attention to negative comments. However, she was bothered that people were focusing on her body size instead of her pregnancy announcement.

The 32-year-old responded by saying she had just finished a workout, so people shouldn’t jump to conclusions. She also confirmed she’s pregnant and joked that people won’t be happy to see her when she’s nine months along.

Alaina recently announced she’s expecting a daughter and used the moment to highlight the unfair expectations often placed on women.

Women face criticism no matter what they do regarding their weight or health – whether they use medication like Ozempic, exercise, or don’t exercise enough. It’s a no-win situation.

She reassured me that my worth isn’t tied to my size or weight. She emphasized that it’s okay to gain weight during pregnancy and that there’s no pressure to quickly return to a pre-pregnancy body.

Alaina, whose sister Hailie Jade recently had a baby with her husband Evan McClintock, is asking people to stop commenting on anyone’s body. She encourages everyone to make their own health choices but wants to shift the focus away from appearances.

The travel blogger used this as a chance to support women who feel self-conscious about their bodies due to external pressures and criticism.

“Being pregnant for the first time is completely new to me, and I’m honestly not sure what to expect,” Alaina said. “But I know it’s tough seeing your body change during pregnancy, no matter what. The last thing anyone needs is to be criticized for it.”

She shared that she’s feeling comfortable and positive about her body. She expressed gratitude for being able to move, eat when hungry, satisfy cravings, and rest when needed.

Plus, Alaina told women to “do whatever it is you feel you want to do.”

She finished by saying to release any expectations and be kind to yourself. After all, everyone is simply trying their best.

Kimberly Ann Scott, originally from Michigan, was Eminem’s high school girlfriend. They had a daughter, Hailie Jade, in 1995.

Kim and Eminem were married from 1999 to 2001, and again briefly in 2006. Their often difficult relationship has appeared in several of Eminem’s songs, such as ’97 Bonnie & Clyde,’ ‘Puke,’ and ‘Bad Husband.’

Kim described a recurring cycle in her relationship, explaining in a 2007 interview with 20/20 that they typically had two good years together before things would fall apart. She felt they hadn’t reached that two-year mark yet and didn’t want to push things before it did.

However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.

“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

Eminem and Kim had their daughter, Hailie, on December 25, 1995. The rapper has said Hailie’s birth was a turning point that motivated him to get his life on track.

In 2001, Eminem told Q magazine that everything he was working on was to provide for his daughter, Hailie, specifically to cover her future college expenses.

She grew up largely in the Detroit area, living with Eminem during her teenage years. Later, she went to Michigan State University to study psychology, where she met her future husband, Evan McClintock. They got engaged in 2023 and married in May 2024.

During a 2020 conversation with Mike Tyson, Eminem shared that his daughter, Hailie Jade, recently graduated college with a 3.9 GPA. He said he’s very proud of her accomplishments.

Hailie revealed she was expecting her first child with Evan in October 2024. They welcomed a son, Elliot Marshall McClintock, in March 2025.

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott

In the early 2000s, Eminem took legal custody of his niece because her mother was battling addiction. He explained to Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of his niece and shared custody of his daughter, Hailie. He’d always been a consistent presence in Hailie’s life, and his niece had been raised alongside her, living with him and Kim wherever they were.

Alaina Marie Mathers, who was primarily raised by Eminem, considers him a father figure and asked him to walk her down the aisle at her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.

After the wedding, where Hailie was a Maid of Honor, she told People magazine, “He wouldn’t have missed it for the world! I’m so incredibly grateful to my dad, because none of this would have happened without him.”

Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.

In October 2025, she revealed that she was pregnant with her and Matt’s first child, a baby girl.

Kim and her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter, had Stevie on April 16, 2002. Eminem legally adopted Stevie three years later, in 2005, after he and Kim got back together.

In August 2021, Stevie publicly shared that they are nonbinary and use all pronouns. They revealed this information in a TikTok video.

They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.

In her 2008 memoir, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, she revealed she married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., the father of the artist known as Eminem, when she was just 15 years old. Sixteen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and moved to Michigan to be near her grandmother.

The difficult relationship between Debbie and Eminem has appeared in his music, most notably in his 2002 song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In the song, he claimed his mother struggled with prescription drug abuse during his childhood, a claim she refuted in her memoir.

She wondered what mother would want to be labeled an alcoholic dependent on government assistance. She explained that none of it was true, but the lies continued to grow, eventually leading to a breakdown in her relationship with Marshall.

Eminem has since said he regrets making his family problems public. In his 2013 song “Headlights,” he admitted he didn’t consider the impact of his words, rapping, “I didn’t think about who I hurt with what I said, and my mom probably suffered the most.”

Nelson died at the age of 69 in 2024 following a battle with cancer.
