Emma Heming Willis Reacts to “Judgment” of Bruce Willis’ Separate Home

Emma Heming Willis had a sixth sense she would need to push back against the critics.

The Unexpected Journey”, that her husband Bruce Willis resides separately due to his struggle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), she defended herself against the unfavorable comments.

In Emma’s August 29 Instagram video, she expressed that revealing certain private details would create a divide between two groups. One group consists of those who only hold opinions, while the other includes individuals who possess personal experiences related to the topic at hand.

She pointed out that those expressing opinions were swift to pass criticism, and furthermore, expressed that “this is the kind of scrutiny that caregivers often face – judgments from others.

In light of the recent criticism, Emma, who is Bruce’s partner and has two daughters, Mabel, age 13, and Evelyn, age 11, revealed that she reread a portion from her forthcoming book as a means of self-motivation.

She pointed out that while everyone may express their opinions, it’s important to remember that many lack the practical experience to support their views. Even if someone appears knowledgeable about conditions like dementia or those you’re dealing with, they aren’t living in your household, so they can’t truly understand how your loved one behaves or the dynamics of your family.

Ultimately, she argued that while there are many strong opinions out there, those without personal experience on the matter shouldn’t have a voice or a vote in the decision.

In the ABC special, Emma explained that Bruce, father to Rumer Willis (aged 36), Scout Willis (33), and Tallulah Willis (31), who was previously married to Demi Moore, requires round-the-clock care. His family and friends visit him frequently.

In a recent television interview, I shared that our second residence holds a special place in our hearts because the girls have their belongings there. This house is brimming with love, warmth, care, and laughter – it’s been a truly heartwarming experience to witness this. It’s amazing to see how many of Bruce’s friends keep dropping by, adding vitality and joy to our lives.

Although making this decision was one of the most challenging for Emma amidst Bruce’s treatment, given that FTD patients tend to be disturbed by high decibel sounds, which are more common in homes with children, she remains resolute and concentrates on the benefits instead.

Emma went on, “I only require this. It doesn’t matter if he knows I’m his spouse or not; our wedding was yesterday. What I truly seek is a bond between us, and I have one already.

In February 2024, Demi posted a picture of her former husband along with their youngest daughter, who turned 30, and captioned it, “Sending our @buuski plenty of love on her birthday.

Back in November of 2023, the actor marked his initial Thanksgiving after receiving a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia earlier that same year. Emma, his spouse, posted this image from Bruce’s 68th birthday celebration in March.

She expressed her gratitude and appreciation for such heartfelt love, adding, “Wishing you all a joyous and grateful Thanksgiving.

In 2018, the actor was captured on camera, standing alongside his former spouse and their daughters Rumer and Tallulah, backstage during his Comedy Central roast event.

Bruce became a grandpa in April 2023 when Rumer welcomed a baby girl named Louetta.

The entire family got together to celebrate the birth of Rumer’s baby.

Bruce had two special vistors when he starred in Broadway’s Misery in 2016.

The family showed up in full force to support Rumer’s 2015 Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Emma rang in her 43rd birthday in 2021 with Bruce and their daughters, as well as Rumer and Demi.

The family spent Christmas 2022 together.

In 2006, Bruce was accompanied by his mother, Marlene, and his eldest three daughters as he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
