Emmanuel Haro Case: District Attorney Says Abuse “Took” Baby’s Life

New details concerning Emmanuel Haro’s likely death have come to light. 

Approximately two weeks following the report of their 7-month-old baby’s disappearance by Rebecca Haro and Jake Haro, who were subsequently charged with murder due to conflicting accounts, Mike Herstin – the district attorney in Riverside, California – has provided some information about the baby’s disappearance.

According to the evidence, it appears that baby Emmanuel suffered persistent mistreatment which tragically led to his death. At this press conference on August 27th, we vowed to pursue justice on his behalf, ensuring that his brief life is not overlooked.

At the same gathering, Herstin pointed out that neither Rebecca nor Jake have openly admitted to the killing of their child. However, officials suspect they know the location where the infant’s remains were hidden.

According to a report from TopMob News, prosecutors have outlined that it’s suspected Emmanuel passed away somewhere within the timeframe of August 5th through August 14th.

As an ardent follower, let me share the heart-wrenching tale that’s been echoing through my thoughts lately. It’s about Rebecca, 41, and Jake, 32 – a duo I once admired deeply. On Aug. 14, they came forward with a devastating report – their precious son, Emmanuel, had gone missing. The story unfolded in a heart-stopping manner: while changing his diaper in a sporting goods store parking lot, Rebecca was viciously attacked. Overwhelmed, she passed out, and our beloved Emmanuel was taken away by the perpetrator.

However, the narrative took an unexpected turn on Aug. 22 when both were apprehended by the authorities. Alongside their murder charge, they now face a separate count of filing a false police report. It’s alleged that they fabricated this heart-rending story, leaving many, including me, in disbelief and sorrow.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s statement on August 23rd via Instagram, it appears that no kidnapping took place in Yucaipa. Instead, they suspect Emmauel may have passed away and efforts are currently underway to locate his remains.

On the subsequent day, Jake, who had confessed to a child abuse charge back in 2023, was observed wearing an orange prison jumpsuit while helping in the search for a 7-month-old.

Rebecca, for her part, has maintained her original story that her son was kidnapped. 

She assured the reporter from the Southern California News Group that she wouldn’t back down. “I won’t abandon hope for my child,” she emphasized, as reported in The Press-Enterprise.

She also continues to defend her husband—with whom she also shares another 2-year-old daughter. 

Rebecca shared with the Southern California News Group on August 24, “He’s an excellent father,” or simply, “She said he’s a great dad.” Furthermore, she emphasized that “he wouldn’t harm a newborn.
