Emmerdale 2025 Christmas schedules confirmed by ITV – including extended festive episode

The holidays are a magical time, but also a bit chaotic! TV channels change their usual schedules to make room for all the special holiday programs.

This means the soap operas, including Emmerdale, need to find different places to film during the holidays.

Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) will keep controlling Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), who is still being held against his will in her human trafficking scheme.

Will he be able to escape her clutches?

Charity Dingle is hiding a secret about her baby, and Kim Tate faces a dramatic Christmas after getting hurt next week.

The villagers are sure to have a busy and exciting time as they prepare for the long-awaited Corriedale event in the New Year.

Emmerdale Christmas 2025 schedule

Emmerdale usually airs on ITV1 every weeknight at 7:30pm, lasting for half an hour. On Thursdays, there’s a longer episode that lasts a full hour.

This isn’t the case during Christmas, week commencing 22nd December.

  • Monday, 22nd December: 7.30pm (30 minutes)
  • Tuesday, 23rd December: 7pm (30 minutes)
  • Christmas Eve: 6:55pm (30 minutes)
  • Christmas Day: 6:15pm (Hour-long)
  • Boxing Day: 6:3opm (30 minutes)

Emmerdale New Year schedule

Life mostly returned to normal the following week, though some changes were made to prepare for a large New Year’s Day special.

  • Monday, 29th December: 7:30pm (30 minutes)
  • Tuesday, 30th December: 7:30pm (30 minutes)
  • New Year’s Eve: 7:30pm (30 minutes)
  • New Year’s Day: 7pm (Hour-long)
  • Friday, 2nd January: 7:30pm (30 minutes)

All of the episodes will be available to stream first on ITVX from 7am, prior to transmission.
