John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth, has returned to Emmerdale and unexpectedly found Kev Townsend, played by Chris Coghill, tied up.
It was inevitable that the killer would strike, and what better day to disrupt Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden’s happiness than Christmas?
After a frightening threat arrived yesterday – a wedding ring and a bullet sent to The Mill – everyone was shocked. It was a far cry from the Christmas cards and festive cheer they anticipated receiving!
I was absolutely floored when I learned he’d already shot at them earlier that day. It became clear this guy wouldn’t rest until he’d gotten Robert all to himself. But the real twist? Turns out Aaron had someone else interested in him, too. It was a total soap opera!

Outside The Woolpack, villagers were enjoying the festive atmosphere. Chas Dingle mentioned her partner, Liam Cavanagh, had surprised her with a murder mystery weekend away in Weatherfield, hinting at a romantic getaway. Meanwhile, Aaron couldn’t help but wonder if he and Robert were being reckless by walking around so openly, given their history.
Robert suggested they could have lived in fear and left before the family arrived later that day.

We found a body, tied up, on the floor of an old, deserted farmhouse. It strongly appeared that Kev had found his husband and was retaliating against him for being with Aaron.
Surprisingly, Robert suddenly reappeared at The Woolpack and joined the celebrations. It turned out the person lying on the floor was Kev, and it seemed Robert had caused him to fall.

I couldn’t believe it when a torchlight suddenly hit Kev, and then I heard that voice – it was John! He explained he’d been following everything that had happened with Robron and Kev since he disappeared, and even knew about when Kev tried to shoot Aaron yesterday. It was such a shock to see him!
He wasn’t a happy man, and said he’d contemplated doing the exact same thing to Robert.

After everyone finished their Thanksgiving-like dinners and had a few drinks, John secretly went to Mackenzie Boyd’s place. He slipped a note under the door explaining that Charity Dingle wasn’t actually pregnant with Sarah Sugden’s baby.
He went to the back room of The Woolie and sat on the edge of the sofa while Aaron, who was drunk, slept. Liam nearly walked in on him, but John relaxed when he was left undisturbed.
What does John have planned for Aaron?
