Emmerdale airs return of major character in early ITVX release

Great news for Emmerdale fans! Mandy Dingle, played by Lisa Riley, is back in the ITV soap opera.

We last saw Mandy in December in the village. She told us she was taking a short trip to Donegal to help with her cousin Tina’s children – Tina (whose full name is Samantha Power) was in jail, and Mandy was stepping in to prevent the children from being placed in foster care.

She’s joined in a few times through video calls, but hasn’t been fully updated on all the drama happening with her family.

Riley was away filming the latest season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! She came in fifth place on the show, after rapper Aitch, EastEnders star Shona McGarty, TV personality Tom Read Wilson, and social media influencer Angry Ginge.

Driving down Main Street, Mandy saw police outside Tenant House and noticed her husband, Paddy, being taken away in a police car with flashing lights.

As fans of the show are aware, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) admitted to killing Ray Walters (Joe Absolom). However, he’s tried to protect Paddy and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) by not revealing they were also there when the murder happened.

However, becoming increasingly confused, Bear began to make contradictory statements.

Paddy tried to jump in and help his dad tell the story, which made DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) suspect he knew more than he let on. The story also had a major flaw: it seemed impossible that Bear, who appeared weak, could have moved Ray’s body by himself.

After Mandy heard about what happened, both Paddy and his son Dylan were called back to the police station for more questioning, along with Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk.

Has Bear unintentionally incriminated them both?
