Emmerdale has confirmed three special standalone episodes coming up this autumn.
The upcoming episodes will center around April and Marlon Dingle, as well as Robert Sugden and Bear Wolf.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have watched April Dingle get into trouble lately. She and Dylan Penders have been taken advantage of by the dangerous Ray Walters, who is running a criminal scheme.
In a special episode, Marlon attempts to help his troubled teenage daughter while she’s caught up with dangerous drug dealers. ITV has hinted the episode will delve into the strained and potentially damaged bond between them.
The next episode will focus on Robert Sugden and show what life is like for him in prison following his recent imprisonment.
As a long-time Emmerdale fan, I remember when the character came back in May after being away for six years. They’d been in prison after what happened with Lee Posner, and I’ve been really curious to find out exactly what life was like for them during all that time.
In an upcoming episode, Paddy discovers his father hasn’t been in Ireland as he thought. Paddy believed his estranged father had moved there in July, but he now learns that wasn’t true.
ITV has revealed the next episode will delve into what Bear was doing during a hundred days that were previously unaccounted for, and it will be revealed he’s facing a difficult situation experienced by many forgotten members of his generation.
Further details on when the special episodes will air will be announced in due course.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
